« Loved the ambience of this house filled with so many period features. Even better were our hosts David and Lindy who went out of their way to obtain help for me when I fell ill during the night and required hospitalization. The following day, David drove my partner to the hospital to pick me up. A stay at The Laurels is like visiting with old friends, sitting in the living room with other guests of an evening with a glass of wine and a selection of snacks. Breakfast could not have been better....

« The booked room was unavailable due to residual aroma after pest extermination. The electrics in the 2 rooms were unsafe, numerous power boards and loose power switches. One TV was unplugged from numerous connections from a power board under the bed and the other TV could only receive 2 channels. At 0715 a high pitched squeal occurred when the adjoining unit’s shower was being used. A dripping tap from the nearby en suite was a nuisance. 2 night’s stay was not enjoyable. »

« Everything was flawless in terms of check in, our host Juniper was very hospitable and provided us with a delicious breakfast and juice that was filling enough to get us through our day hike up the mountain and everyone we met at Pure Chalet was very friendly. »

« What a find. Quiet secluded luxury property comprising originally two houses, now a high end function venue. Beautifully kept grounds and interiors. Great amenities and nice pool area. 12 mins drive from B Bay. Top marks. »

« Tent etc a bit rundown and very close to people. Not really what we were expecting for the price! We were expecting luxury and unfortunately didn't get it. Managers were lovely though and offered many activities for free. Price to quality ratio does not seem right at all. »
