You have a big casino on one side, convention center on the other side and a mall right in front. Location was great! Staff wasn't super friendly, but nobody really was in NOLA. Overall hospitality in the city was not what I had expected. Doormen/valet were constantly on their phones, and often times didn't greet you or even open the door that they were standing right next to. I didn't understand what their purpose was. Room was nice for the most part. There were some stains on the lamp shades and furniture, but the room seemed "clean" for the most part. Bathroom sink didn't really drain properly, but I didn't report it. Restaurant in the lobby was really over priced. I ordered nachos and a margarita and the $46 bill almost exceeded my work allowance for dinner ($50). Watch out for the internet charges. They talk you in to signing up to the loyalty program for free internet, but then you login and it gives you two options for service (high $14/day or low $9/day). Well if my internet is free, I'm picking the faster service. It turns out the slower service is the one you have to select. I had to argue with them, and they took it off my bill. At checkout, I never got an email invoice. I had to return to the property twice. They didn't have printer ink, so it was email only, but I wasn't getting it. After a while, a manager came out and printed it on their private printer. It was just more painful than it had to be.
