« We’ve stayed at the Globe a number of times, and unfortunately this was the worst yet. I think it essentially depends on where you get placed - annex, arch house or in the pub etc, as to what the rooms are like rather than your booking. The room we were in was tiny, thank goodness it was only for one night. The room itself also needs a freshen up/good clean, with splash/dirt marks up the walls and paint chipped. Wasn’t the best welcome by front of house either, she was very brusque and then...

« The restaurant was excellent, Sunday lunch was best I’ve had for a long time so we dined there the following night as well. The breakfast was excellent - the residents breakfast included continental breakfast with ham to carve yourself which melted in your mouth and a choice of hot breakfast - gorgeous eggs royal with generous helping of smoked salmon. »
