Had a really lovely stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was great. We enjoyed a fabulous evening meal and an excellent breakfast. Looking forward to a return trip.

Lovely 3 night stay. Rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. We booked two rooms and were assigned one in the courtyard and one in the main building. Bathroom in the courtyard room was significant bigger but otherwise rooms were comparable. Great location. Definitely recommend booking with breakfast included. The breakfast was delicious and included a cooked breakfast item from the menu as well as the buffet style yogurt, pastries, toast, fruit etc. The homemade compote was absolutely delicious!

Loved our stay in the family loft. Staff were very friendly. Space was clean and they accommodated our request for an extra bed and pillows. Food is excellent- the breakfasts were delicious and we all Enjoyed the pub quiz. Easy short walk to all the local activities. Would absolutely recommend.

We had a lovely stay with two children and two dogs, all made very welcome. Location very good with a short walk to the harbour. Would advise to book somewhere for an evening meal as we struggled to find somewhere as a 'walk-in'. Very enjoyable stay.

Had an enjoyable stay with a nice room with air conditioning. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Good choice for breakfast which was lovely. Pleasant bar atmosphere with lots of tables and chairs both inside and outside.

Food was very nice and location for those wanting to stay at in Wells. However, our room was dirty. Dirty shower mat and dog hair on the floor - as dog owners we appreciate dog friendly hotels but this was not nice. The bed was also very old and uncomfortable.

This was a lovely hotel with a very comfortable bed with good quality linens and towels, a great shower and toiletries, and it was reasonably quiet. I particularly appreciated that there were drawers and hangers so I could unpack for the few days I was there. The rooms on the main site overlook the outdoor seating area and open directly onto the outdoor courtyard, and some have stairs to access. This is right in the heart of town which makes it very convenient for shops and restaurants, and the restaurant/pub at the Globe was excellent, including a great cooked breakfast with lots of options and they accommodated a gluten-free diet very well.

I didn't like having a room which faced out onto the courtyard where pub guests were drinking and eating. It meant that to get privacy you had to draw the curtains which then covered not only the door but also the only windows and I like to have open windows, especially when there is no air conditioner. Having said that, the room itself was quite comfortable and the food was good.

We spent two nights at The Globe Inn - our stay was excellent. From start to finish the team were really good, always helpful and genuinely happy in their work. We had dinner in the restaurant one night, Ruby our waitress was very good and the fold excellent, the best Whitebait ever !! I highly recommend this place.

Great location in wells, ample parking outside the pub. Excellent and helpful staff. Clean and cool room (great air conditioning in this weather).. There was a pub quiz in the evening, great food, and the breakfast was wholesome and hearty’ The only issue was the smell from the bathroom (likely the sewage).

Great location but a nightmare to find parking. Great and delicious breakfast - something for everyone. Fabulous little hotel with a good selection of fine wines and beers. Only downside I found was I forgot my shower cap but was clearly told informed through hotel literature to ask at reception for one. Guy on reception told me they don’t supply them and never had been asked for one before- maybe they shouldn’t advertise that they do. Apart from that we had an amazing stay.

The Globe Inn is comfortable and cozy with delicious breakfasts and drinks! We loved all the options for where you could sit, relax, and have a drink or snack--both indoors and out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the town of Well-next-the-sea is adorable.

We’ve stayed at the Globe a number of times, and unfortunately this was the worst yet. I think it essentially depends on where you get placed - annex, arch house or in the pub etc, as to what the rooms are like rather than your booking. The room we were in was tiny, thank goodness it was only for one night. The room itself also needs a freshen up/good clean, with splash/dirt marks up the walls and paint chipped. Wasn’t the best welcome by front of house either, she was very brusque and then witnessed her sniping at a colleague when asked about something. Not great around guests! The pub itself is lovely, although don’t know if we will be back to stay again.

Wells next the sea is, as always, simply stunning and unique. The Globe Hotel is well situated in a leafy area of Wells. The room was okay, if a little tired, decor wise ie: paintwork needed touching up, but was clean and well stocked with beverages both hot and cold. The bed was a tad uncomfortable for sleeping, it felt like a well used mattress. On the whole the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was well presented with a good choice of hot dishes along with continental food.

We travel around the uk regularly for weekends away as a couple. This was the best place that we’ve stayed in by far. The location is great the rooms are excellent and furnished with a nice modern decor with a great shower and very comfortable bed The bar is nice and the outdoor areas to drink or eat are lovely. The room came with free breakfast meaning that it was even better value for money than we thought when booking. The staff were all really professional and very helpful. We would love to go back while the outdoor food and drink area in the courtyard was open and we plan to do so
