« very private, huge gardens, lovely welcome basket. very comfortable beds with fresh bed linens and towels, plenty of hot water and of course the hot tub!only thing we could say is the walls/kitchen windows and banister were a bit grubby, they really need a good clean . excellent location to access local attractions and a fab pub a couple of miles away serving gorgeous food.star gazing was beautifulX we could see the milky way »

We also wanted to be able to enjoy a grand meal together for up to 14 of us. Compton House was perfect for us - a very unusual and lovely property. « The Rectory was a wonderful location for our annual family birthday/get together. Everything was perfect and Jane left us a lovely card and birthday cake which was much appreciated. We all loved the log fire in the evening while we played board games and it was great to have a table everyone could sit around and eat together. The grandchildren loved the pool and picking apples from the orchard for apple pie. It was an idyllic retreat. »

« First time I've ever stayed in a private room with shared bathroom and it was grand. The weird thing is that there were no towels provided and no tv in the room, kitchen utensils weren't that clean but I brought my own so not an issue. The bed was above average for comfort and very clean. Parking is a nightmare and up a very steep hill, keep this in mind. « Bevan's House is a superb stay in Mid Wales. Located in between Lhandridod Wells and Builth Wells, it's a nice getaway if you're looking for a rural quiet area.The ace card of the property is the all day heated hot tub (which has a roof over it to use in all weathers). The property is pretty and well appointed, with easy parking and a both a fenced in main grounds and a fenced garden within, which was ideal as we travelled with our dogs. Very pet friendly.
