« Een heerlijk luxe huisje van alle gemakken voorzien. Fijne bedden goede keuken faciliteiten. Ook alle gebruikers goederen waren ruim aanwezig en ter onze beschikking. Vaatwas tabletten, brandhout voor de pizzaoven, toilet papier wasmiddel en afwasmiddel. Toen we mis grepen voor lucifers gingen beide beheerders gelijk voor ons aan de slag en op zoek in hun eigen huis welke ernaast gelegen is. Ooh en dan vergeet ik bijna het fantastische uitzicht op de beacons aan beide kanten van het huisje. We...

« We had a lovely stay at the cow shed, made full use of the facilities and enjoyed the location as a central point to go off exploring the local area. « Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect. »

Julie took good care of us and was easily reached.The home is located within walking distance to many shops and restaurants, as well as a wonderful walk along the river. « We had a nice week for RC slope flying in the region. The cottage is well equipped for all needs and for cooking for ourselves. A couple shops are close by. The surrounding landscape is great.Another option for preparing coffe other then the pad machine would've been a nice addition (filter holder or french press?).There was a bit of a fowl smell every time we came in, and we weren't able to locate it or get rid of it. But after a bit of ventilation it was ok.Communication with the host was...

« House was well appointed and close to railway station, and very roomy. Negatives....only one bathroom which is not on bedroom floor (difficult to access in middle of night!), Too many stairs for us older folks. No instructions for TV. Not enough towels or wastebaskets. Steep walk up and down hill to access house. Could use some homey touches like teabags, condiments. Pretty spare. But, all in all, a great deal for the money. »

"Nous sommes un peu déçus… l’hôtel est en fait attenant au manoir et non dans le manoir. Nos chambres n’étaient pas très propres (draps salis, rideaux déchirés, trace de nourriture présente sur la moquette) mais spacieux (les enfants avaient leur propre chambre attenante). La piscine est un peu vieillotte. Le personnel est discret, poli mais un peu trop détaché des besoins des clients."
