« Wonderful place to stay! Great location to explore Lake Huron, Roger’s City and Alpena. The home was exactly as described with all the amenities needed for a relaxing weekend. Very clean and well cared for. The host was welcoming and easy to communicate with. EV charging on the property was a plus! Definitely recommend and would book again! »

« We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend @ Grand Lake Cozy Cottage. The layout of the home is perfect. The kitchen is at least a 4 person working kitchen so that was great. The additional dining space was a plus. Due to inclement weather, we ended up having a great 'game day/night' at the table. It was enough for 6 people. The levels of decking was a bonus as was the boat house play room. It was nice having a long dock at we brought two fishing boats along with us. You won't regret renting this...

« Absolutely beautiful property. So relaxing and refreshing. Anything and everything you could ask for they had available. Close to everything but you would never know while enjoying the beach. Charming but modern. Would highly recommend. »

« We were in Alpena to visit our daughter and grandchildren. They live about half a mile away. We were amazed at all the condiments, utensils, and supplies in the house. The Wi-Fi worked great - I worked all week from the house. We come up to visit (usually) at least a couple times per year and are looking forward to staying here again. »

« WOW! Where do I begin? Our stay at this remote lakeside retreat was nothing short of exceptional. The location is truly special as it's secluded, peaceful, and ideally situated right on the shores of Lake Huron. We spent hours relaxing on the spacious deck, taking in the panoramic lakefront views and listening to the calming sound of the waves. « This was our 1st VRBO experience. We came to town for our daughter’s wedding; We needed lodging to accommodate 4 adults and 2 young children. This home was perfect for us, clean and cozy, well stocked. The 2 young children (ok, the adults too) enjoyed the toaster to make waffles by morning and the fire pit to make s’mores by night. We’ll likely return if our daughter continues to live in Alpena! »

« We have stayed at ** many** VRBO rentals over the years and the Rapid Retreat definitely goes in our FAVORITES bucket! The cottage is very beautiful, updated, and is filled with everything you will need to make your stay comfortable. Everything is clean and tidy. The large deck provides a great place for morning coffee with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed using the new kayaks to explore the lakeshore, and sitting by the campfire almost every night. Plenty of room for our family. Loved...
