Thank you for submitting your review as threatened during check out.
Please allow us to share our side of the story. From the moment you walked in, you refused to pay for your stay, claiming that has been already debited. Out of respect, we gave you some time to sort things out.
As an Expedia "VIP" guest you had 20 euros a day to be deducted from SPA services. The discount is per day, but you need to purchase services each day. You started a fight for this discount to be cumulative.
The rental car company is an external service, we suggested this company due to the lack of available cars, the hotel has nothing to do with their procedures. That's basic information, but you demanded us to assume the taxi cost to go to the airport to pick up a car that was your first option anyway, but you decided to go to the cheapest rental car and expected high-quality service and then blame the hotel regardless. That´s totally your responsibility, you made the decision knowing all the information.
At check out, when you asked to speak with the "smelly" manager, you yelled at me, I did not have the opportunity to express myself and explain things. I wasn´t alone at the Reception, there were colleagues and other guests that heard you screaming at me and threatening that you would do a bad review. You started gesticulating, misconducting, and saying "SHUT UP" consequently.
I work at Sé Boutique for 5 years, and obviously, I have dealt with complaints, but I have never dealt, professionally and personally, with someone as rude as you.

Comme nous sommes situés en plein cœur de Funchal, l'hôtel ne dispose pas de parking mais nous avons un accord avec un parking à proximité où nos clients bénéficient d'une réduction. Merci pour vos mots concernant l'équipe et le petit déjeuner. Nous nous efforçons de le rendre varié et il est essentiel que nos hôtes se sentent comme chez eux. We´re sorry that our breakfast wasn´t of your taste - there was plenty of variety to choose from and we could fulfill and specific request - we´re sorry for not knowing in time your unsatisfaction.
Regarding your payment, as explained before, there is nothing that prevents us from not using the credit card that you have used to confirm your reservation with us - you shouldn´t use that card in the first place - we´re just following our partner rules.
Once again, we´re sorry for not delivering a service that you could be happy with - we always do our best.
Whenever is more convenient, please get in touch with the hotel to settle the pending bill.
