« This place was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! We loved our very short stay so much. In fact, if we had to plan our big island trip all over again, we would have extended our stay at this beautiful gem tucked away in the jungle. How cool to be able to go from the front porch on a walk through steam vents, with information along the way about local flowers and plants. This place just feels well loved, and we were so thankful we were able to stay there. Thanks, Jacklynn!!! We hope to see you again...

« This is an out-of-the-way gem (but easy to get to). Clean, and close to shore to hear waves crashing. Host was superb! Unit was smaller than expectation. Hard to use luggage rack and move around. Not so certainly about "see whales and dolphins" - but maybe it was wrong time of year. Checking and communication with host was great (5/5)! »

« This place is a unique stay in paradise. The host was friendly and gave great recommendations and communication. The kitchenette was perfect to make dinner and the outdoor shower was a cool experience. Everything was clean and we enjoyed the room. We especially enjoyed waking up and star gazing in the morning and then watching the sun rise over the ocean. Unbeatable view of the sunrise! »

« Think of it as luxury camping and you'll be happy. If your idea of comfort is umbrella drinks by the pool, you will not. Personally, I loved it. But it's not for everyone. This is a rustic cabin in the jungle. 4.5 miles off the main road, 2.2 miles of it is dirt (well maintained, regular cars not a problem). 15 minute drive to nearest civilization (the part of the description being in the middle of a historic town is inaccurate - it's 7 miles outside a historic town). « A previous booking elsewhere cancelled at last minute due to changes in Hawaiian law re holiday homes in cettain areas. Needed an early morning strst to get to get to volcano - only 20mins away.This accomm served the purpose. Note it is basic. »

« Super clean unit Ultra comfy bed and pillows The host was ultra-sympathic, avalaible and helpful The cats, dogs and chickens were pretty cool as well Muffins were just EPIC !!! The location of this place makes it a really nice spot to relax at the end of your daily activities. We stayed there 2 weeks. We went to many beaches, the volcano, the Mauna Kea Summit and we played golf a lot. We enjoyed coming back before the sunset and relax outside on the lanai and admiring the view. 5 stars says...
