« Lovely location near the beach, an easy walk. No snorkeling on Punalu’u, but we saw turtles on the beach every day and kids were boogie boarding and swimming. 40 minute drive to Volcanoes National Park, and we spent 2 days exploring there. Very open and airy island home. High ceiling made it feel very spacious. Feels remote, and the complex was very quiet. Birds and geckos will visit you on the lanai. No A/C, but it cooled down quickly with the breeze at night when the windows were open...

« Everything was just as advertised and was a great place to stay. Only problem was that the condo didn't get much breeze that came through and didn't cool off at night as much as we would have liked. The over head fans did help but being from the PNW it was very warm for sleeping. Other than the place was cute and perfect for our stay. »

« This was an upstairs unit of a house. There were 2 houses on the property for a total of 4 units. Everything seemed fairly new and nice. The one surprise was that one of the bedrooms essentially had only 3 walls. It was open onto the living room. We rented two units for us and our parents. It was great to be able to walk back and forth. »

« Small hiccup with checkin, but the property manager quickly resolved the issue. Heat of summer is tough, trade winds weren’t quite enough for us but we managed to rest and sleep well. Bring something from Kona to grill, there isn’t much around the area for resupply (as the description states). Overall, a great place to see the black sand beaches and south point. »
