I booked this hotel based on the reviews and the Iberostar brand, but it was honestly a big letdown.
The room was cleaned well every day. Housekeeping did a great job and the room was always spotless. But everything else was disappointing. The buffet was the same every day, super bland and boring. The Ă la carte restaurants were terrible. Iâve stayed at many all-inclusives, and this was hands down the worst food Iâve ever had.
The steakhouse served meat I couldnât even chew, and the staff were rude. At the Japanese place, the sushi was hard and dry, and the teppanyaki was completely burnt. After that, I didnât bother with any more restaurants and just stuck to the buffet, which didnât help much. Room service was basically just food from the buffet.
Thereâs only one pool and it was always packed. No bottled water in the room, so you have to go get water yourself. Towels were old, thin, and rough. They seriously need to be replaced. Entertainment and activities werenât worth watching.
Only good things were the beach taco bar and the ice cream by the pool. Ocean view from the room was nice. Some staff were friendly, but others were cold or rude. It really was hit or miss.
This is not a 4.5-star resort. More like a 3.5 at best. I expected more from Iberostar. If you have other options, pay a bit more and stay somewhere else.
