« Hawksmoor House ist ein klassisches, 300 Jahre altes Capholländisches Bauerngehöft. Wir waren zuerst im Herrenhaus untergebracht, dann in einem Nachbargebäude. Beide Zimmer waren ausserordentlich schön. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Zu bemängeln gab es nichts. Allerdings sollten Reisende wissen, dass die Anfahrt über einen unbefestigten Weg erfolgt. Wifi gibt es nur im Herrenhaus. Nach einer Corona-Pause könnte hie und da die Fassade frisch gestrichen werden. Aber dies sind wirklich winzige...

« This was one of the most relaxing holiday's I had so far. Perfect set up with the view on the vineyards, professional staff, splendid breakfast within a totally relaxing atmosphere. the fact that it's located outside Stellenbosch is definitely not a negative element as it's very good accessible and definitely good located for other visits. »

« Stayed here 2/19/24 through 2/21. Location and property are absolutely beautiful, but unwalkable from downtown Franschhoek, so you'll need a rental car or us their recommended taxi service via Whatsapp if you plan to drink lots of wine. Uber was not reliable in this area. The staff were very nice and the breakfast options were good, but limited. I would highly recommend this location. »

Einen Stern Abzug müssen wir leider geben, da wir mehrfach kein Wasser in unserem Cottage hatten, z.B. auch morgens vor dem Duschen und Zähne putzen. « Nice property but they weren't very accommodating. We had asked if we could bring breakfast back to the room for another guest who wanted to sleep in a little bit and they said we couldnt because they were concerned that the food would sustain the sheets. Very strange response to be honest. Especially since they have a dining table and chairs in the room. Also there wasn't much variety for breakfast or many options for dinner »

« Absolutely wonderful stay in the Wellington countryside. Perfectly located for winelands touring. Outstanding staff and facilities. On site, multi-course dinners were absolutely brilliant and worthy of a Michelin star. Bravo to the chef, kitchen and wait staff. We cannot wait to return! »

« No provision made with water supply when power went out due to loadshedding. You could not use the bathroom at all. NO extra drinking water in the room. Breakfast at restaurant was also not great. Sorry, not a good overall experience at all. It is situated in a beautiful area. »

« Property was nice, clean and accessible. They asked us if OK not to service the room due to lack of resources, which was fine and accepted. We unfortunately lost the keys for one of the rooms, it must have fallen out of my pocket after parking and walking to a restaurant. The owner freaked out about that, we accepted responsibility and apologised.
