Bel emplacement dans Temple Bar. Par contre j’aurais aimé être avisé à mon arriver qu’ily Avait de la construction immédiatement à côté de ma chambre. Même si les gens faisaient attention, des 7h il y avait des vas et vient près de notre chambre avec les matériaux. IJ’aurais aimé le savoir lors de la réservation et je n’aurais probablement pas choisi cet hôtel

Bel hôtel très bien situé mais cher
Bel hôtel, propre et bien entretenu contrairement à ce que peuvent laisser penser certains commentaires ci-dessous. Cet hôtel est très bien situé (Temple Bar / Wellington Quay) et permet de visiter à pied la plupart des sites de Dublin. Wifi gratuit. Personnel très disponible, service impeccable. Nous y avons séjourné à 2 reprises, 2 nuits au début de notre séjour où nous avons eu la chance d'être sur-classés en chambre supérieure et une nuit à la fin de notre séjour dans une chambre standard. Les chambres supérieures sont de belle taille, comportent une grande salle de bain avec 2 lavabos (et un bidet !), avec chaussons, peignoir et bouteille d'eau à disposition. Les chambres standards sont un peu plus petite mais suffisante pour 2 avec 2 valises cabine. L'hôtel est plutôt calme, si ce n'est l'animation nocturne de temple bar pour les chambres qui donnent de ce côté là. Le bar de l'hôtel est correct. Le breakfast est excellent (à réserver au plus tard lors du check-in pour l'avoir au tarif préférentiel de 16 euros au lieu de 19) ; le saumon fumé des scramble eggs est juste divin. Seul bémol, c'est cher. C'est ce rapport qualité / prix décevant qui me fait mettre 4 étoiles seulement.

A fuir le samedi soir si vous voulez dormir !
Hôtel bien situé dans Temple Bar et au centre de Dublin. A côté de pleins de petits restaurants sympas aussi. Vous pouvez facilement essaimer et visiter les points importants de cette ville, qui au final, est assez petite. Personnel aimable, établissement propre, taille de chambre correcte et lit confortable. Le gros point négatif est le bar/boîte de nuit intégré à l'hôtel qui fait que vous ne pouvez pas dormir avant 1h du matin (au moins le samedi soir), un peu embêtant quand vous payez une chambre d'hôtel pour dormir ... vous avez vraiment l'ambiance en direct dans votre chambre ! Cela dit, si vous êtes un oiseau de nuit, cela ne vous dérangera peut-être pas.

I’m shocked that this place has such great reviews. The only plus about this place is that it’s in a great location and the staff was nice. The bathroom was filthy when we arrived. Dusty floor, and even sticky in some areas. The shower does not drain properly and you are standing in a foot of tub water while trying to get clean. There’s also no hotel room keys, but regular key and locks to enter each room and is difficult to unlock. They lock the front entrance at night so you have to hope that someone inside is paying attention to let you even in the building.

Please allow me to address the issues that you mention in your comments:All rooms are cleaned and thoroughly inspected by the accommodations manager, so this is something that is coming as a surprise. I will make sure to bring this up to his attention. Shower drains are serviced frequently so as to prevent clogs. My apologies if the drain got clogged during your stay. I trust that when you reported these issues to our staff in reception, they were promptly sorted. The main entrance is locked during certain hours indeed. Specifically at night time. We do this for security reasons to protect our guests, the property and the staff. Our reception is 24/7 with at least 2 staff per shift watching the door and paying attention to the door-bell. My apologies again if you had to wait longer than expected to get in.Kind regards,

I’d stayed here ten years previously in a standard room and really enjoyed it: going again all these years later I thought I would spend a bit more money and try a ‘deluxe’ room but what was offered was more like a cupboard with a view of a brick wall: I went down to reception and told them I wasn’t happy and the first room they offered me, they told me it was behind a pub and would be really noisy, I was finally offered a room at the back of the hotel that I accepted (I was told it would cost even more money for something on the other side of the hotel) which was ok apart from the drunken shouting I could hear every night at one in the morning, could also hear a lot of noise from people having parties in other rooms. Was impressed the first time but will look elsewhere next time I go to Dublin

I would have given 5 stars, however we were kept up the two nights we were there till 2am due to the thumping music from the pub next door. They were playing some amazing music though. The lobby was also super hot and we couldn't enjoy a drink at the bar because it was pushing 80 degrees.

Great Nights Stay at The Clarence
We had one night in Dublin before travelling up to meet family in the north. The hotel and its staff were amazing from start to finish. We received an upgraded room and enjoyed a relaxing suite for the time we were there. Along with being able to check in early due to an early flight. Couldn’t have asked for any more. Will definitely stay here again when next over in Dublin.

The property was located in the heart of Temple Bar district which was very ideal. When we arrived, the staff was able to book us into a room before our check-in time which was much appreciated. The overall aesthetic of the property felt true to their online marketing -- fun, chic vibe. I was a bit disappointed in our room accommodations. We were told this was a upgrade, which I later learned was because of some design they recently completed in the bathroom. Our room was a corner unit that looked into a bare stairwell. I could care less about the view, but the room had a strange spatial configuration which made it really difficult to fit our luggage and have our luggage simultaneously open. Plus, the bathroom flooded every time we ran the shower. I think this was due to the glass not extending far enough beyond the showerhead and the curb or shower pan not gradating towards the drains. We were only there two nights, and by the time we had our first flooding experience, it only 36 hours until check-out so we decided to live with it during our time there. Lastly, the heating unit was not controllable from our room. We later learned that you had to call into the front desk and they would manually turn it off and on. After cooking our first night, we tried to call in the morning but couldn't find a phone to reach the reception. It was resolved after an in-person conversation. A minor disappointment given that splurgy expense to stay there and the high expectations going in.

The rooms go around a nightclub/entertainment area that is very loud- the beat literally vibrated the floor of our room from midnight until 315 am. It woke us up and we stayed awake until it closed. We were on the second floor so it may have been worse there but it was horrible.

The hotel is located right on temple bar area which was very convenient. The room was okay. Comfy bed but the bathroom was a little bit old and found some dirty spots here and there. Amenities were all there so that was good.

Tired hotel in a great location
There aren't many hotels i haven't stayed in in Dublin but the Clarence was one so i had cause to need a hotel for an overnight business trip and it was available and the typical Dublin exorbitant prices . Im not sure what i was expecting from a 4 * Hotel in Temple Bar but it was just ok , Its a little tired , Tv channels not working, lights without bulbs , 100 chips in the bath , shower curtains (my pet hate) Main Doors that would take you out into temple bar locked closed, charged me €50 security deposit ! all small things but I've stayed in better with a star or two less . Over €200 for a night with no breakfast . Maybe Bono and the Boys were too busy in Vegas to keep an eye on the hotel, Lets see what the new owners have in store ,

Great location and vibe. The shower was wonderful and the folks who worked there were helpful and pleasant.

Great staff and the hotel is beautiful and the Temple Bar area is at the center of things in Dublin and has a night life until the wee hours of the morning
