« Excellent location and wonderful room »

« Lovely quiet accommodation just a few miles outside Scarborough good breakfast owner very friendly would recommend this B&B »

« L'emplacement face à la mer est vraiment appréciable. On peut prendre son thé, préparé dans la chambre, sur un banc et admirer le paysage. On peut aller dans la vieille ville facilement à pied. »

« Great stay, clean room with all the facilities you need. Friendly staff and great breakfast. On street parking right outside the hotel (£5 for a 2 night stay) Would happily stay there again. »

« Great location & lovely spacious room. Communication was exceptional & everything was easy to understand. We would recommend staying here as it’s very quiet but so easy to get into Whitby & a few metres from the beach. We have already said we want to stay again. »

« Room very basic and run down with curtains that didn’t close properly Very small shower cubicle, my husband struggled to move once in there. Beds very uncomfortable so didn’t get a decent sleep »

« Absolutely perfect stay, from arrival, excellent breakfast, super comfy bed, good for parking, lovely staff, couldn't fault anything »

« Lovely room, comfortable beds. Nice couple who run/own the place. Smashing breakfast. Highly recommend. »

« Although a comfortable stay a few things were not to the standard that would warrant the room price. 1) only one pack of biscuits for two people not good 2) a significant number of cobwebs around the corners of the room, ceilings and floors 3) towels had marks on them 4) for a two night stay I would have expected the room to be cleaned, towels to be changed, clean coffee cups and coffee/biscuits replenished 5) no breakfast provided, I have stayed in cheaper places with breakfast provided. « We had a lovely stay at The Russell. The rooms were clean and comfortable despite the high temperatures. The owners were friendly and the breakfast was superb. Off road parking was available and free on road parking. Just a short walk away from the Open Air Theatre. »

« We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings »
