« Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. I asked the owner Stacie if I could therefore cancel my second night and obtain a partial refund for it. Stacie agreed...

« Room Willow: very clean and spacious, no air conditioning, however big windows allowing a lovely breeze to come through. Only issue we found was if you want to watch the TV you have to sit on the bed, you cannot watch it from the settee. Nice selection for breakfast and well cooked. Hosts were very friendly and helpful giving suggestions of what to do and where to go. Best bed and breakfast we have stayed at for along time, definitely would go again. »

« Lovely location, quiet & secluded but only a short walk to the beach & restaurants. Breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious but some attention to detail needed. The bathroom sink had clearly been damaged and the repair was unsightly. The curtains did not meet in the middle and let in light. The 2 members of staff we met were friendly & helpful. »

« The bedroom & en suite were very tastefully decorated, with the decor exactly to our taste! The Bella Rose coffee shop was used throughout our stay & the staff were very welcoming & accommodating. The 15% discount was used each time we ate there which was a bonus as thought it might be a one-off. Peasholm Park on the doorstep was a huge plus too! My only criticism of our stay was that I made the owners aware that I was allergic to fur & feathers beforehand & I particularly queried any cushions...
