« Not so obvious to find the hotel and hotel closed to the road, but except that the rest of the service was good. Restaurant not tested. »

« When we arrived just after 2pm it was like stepping onto the Marie Celeste. We finally found a few customers who told us that only member of staff doing front of house was getting ice cream for their daughter. When she appeared we asked about food but was told that the kitchen closed at 2 and that we would need to go out if we were hungry. Checking us in, she was very pleasant but hadn’t read my email sent a couple of days before to say we were bringing a dog which didn’t smack of...

« Decent size room. Hairdryer in the room and a fan thankfully, which was needed because the room was like an oven. The full English was ok but overall was decent value if you make full use of the continental buffet, just watch out for the low hanging light. »

« Very pleasant welcoming staff great location for us as we were attending a party nearby. Pleasant and clean room and would use The Star again if we have to return to the area »

« Parking can be difficult and CCTV in operation. Staff could have been better, kept being locked out of our room. Unfortunately 1 breakfast was poor no eggs and mushrooms not cooked. Not sure if we shall return »
