« I attended a weekend conference at this hotel so it was selected for me. The staff were most friendly and my conference was excellent, but the hotel let itself down with ludicrous prices for food and beverages -- and my room had a ceiling of enormous cobwebs (see photo). One glass of red wine and a pint of beer was 13 pounds. The restaurant was full on the evening I arrived so I had to eat in the bar. « Needed to add an extra night due to one of my siblings being end of life. The lady on reception was so kind to find me a good rate and stay in the same room. This is why I choose to stay at the Gresham every time I need to visit my family. I can’t fault the place in the least. Will keep coming back whenever I am able. »
