« A nice cottage set in lovely well maintained grounds, with a swimming pool and a hot tub too. We used this cottage as a base to explore the local area and found some nice places to visit.Dartford Central park is nice with a lake, café, exercise equipment, play area for kids etc. We also went to checkers pub for Sunday lunch which nice but you need to book. »

The scenery on the South Downs is stunning and the seaside resorts have their own traditional attractions like the pier at Eastbourne and holiday rock at Bognor. All in all, a delightful week. »

« No Parking close by to drop off luggage. Treacherous, steep downhill path through a park to take several heavy suitcases. Incredibly poor communication from the property, who in the first instance did not respond for over a week to our request for an early check in. e repeatedly asked host for check in details,and we eventually got them on the day of check in only 15 minutes before scheduled (normal) check in time, at which time we were already at the weddding of my daughter, having travelled...

"Still as great as ever. Friendly staff, comfortable and serviceable rooms, very decent prices given the location. The bar is classy and serves good cocktails and breakfast snacks. One thing that still feels weird to me after all this time is the lack of a door to the bathroom in the single rooms, but you get used to it."
