« Lovely place and very peaceful watching the boats up and down the canal and having visits from the ducks was lovely. We had everything we needed in the kitchen as it was well stocked. Parking on the pub car park was ok and we also had a lovely meal in there. »

« I go away with work most weeks and this has to be up there with one of the best places I have stayed in. Would love to come back in the summer. I’ve now booked up for my third successive week. The kitchen is perfect, plenty of work space and well laid out. Bit of confusion over the microwave until I realised it was built into the oven. Maybe do with a washing machine. Great surroundings and a great place to stay. »

« A very clean, comfortable cottage, spacious and well equipped with everything that you need. Cosy and warm. Great walks from the door, beautiful area with all that the Derbyshire dales has to offer. There is a friendly pub across the road where we enjoyed a pint but only serving meals at weekends currently. 10 minute walk into the village where another pub, also friendly (the black swan) serves food but with a limited menu. There is an Indian restaurant where we enjoyed an excellent meal one of...

« Very disappointing property. Cold, scruffy and badly maintained throughout. Dangerous access steps up to front door and broken step to enter. Depends what you want suppose. »
