« A warm welcome and comfortable, clean, spacious room. The staff couldn't be more helpful and even though the kitchen was closed because I arrived late they were good enough to offer a plate and cutlery so I could grab a Chinese from the takeaway opposite. Honestly I couldn't have asked for anything better even at twice the price. »

« End July 2026. Didn't use Spa or Amenities. Pros: Overall a good stay. Restaurant/bar food medium priced, bar drinks well priced. Premium room had whirlpool bath, very nice, Good pillows & mattress. Cons: TV in room quite old, needs time updated to BST, unable to use EPG as mainly not available. New TV would be better. Knives in restaurant & bar couldn't cut butter, need replacing. Bath surround needs mildew treating. »

« Not so obvious to find the hotel and hotel closed to the road, but except that the rest of the service was good. Restaurant not tested. »

« I’m loathed to give a bad review, but we stayed during hot weather and the room was unbearable, at least 35C for the whole night. The top of the sash window was painted shut and the bottom only opened 2inches because of the safety latch. It’s a shame because the pub was nice, lovely old building, easy parking, the bar was good and the staff were great. The room was clean modernised and comfortable, the fan could have done with a clean to work better. We left at 5am to escape the heat so can’t...

Je n'ai pas eu de réponse. quand j'ai enfin pu joindre l'hébergement le soir de l'arrivée, on m'a indiqué qu'il n'y aurait plus personnes pour nous accueillir, et nous avons payé pour rien. »

« Pros:: Lovely old pub, AC worked well, great location, plenty of parking, big room and bathroom. Bed was hard, but that is personal preference. Old building is beautiful but with it comes low beams, uneven steps, etc. Con's: Breakfast seemed a bit disjointed (only 1 staff member on) kept having to find staff (same with check out) - not a huge issue as pub not that big.
