« When I booked for myself and grandson six ,I wasn't made aware that our "hotel room" was just a block of rooms at the bottom of a road near the entrance. These were unmanned and the key had to be collected from the main reception. This is no easy fete when there's a very steep long hill to walk up to reception. I was told our room was ready,we went down to it,expecting staff to meet us. None were there. So I and my little grandson had to walk back up to reception with a suitcase and rucksacks...

« Brilliant location! Hotel could do with some TLC but don’t let this put you off! Mould in bathroom, but that was ok as only there for 1 night. Chocolates and slippers were a lovely touch. Nice quiet room - no complaints ! »

« The room was very dirty and dusty with stains on the bedsheets. There was no instructions to bring your own towels online and then no information sheets in the rooms. I rung the number for help and she was very condescending saying that there was an information sheet in my room that would “answer all my questions” despite her supposedly being there if we needed any help and there was infact NO information sheet in our room. The shower drain was also leaking so we had to use our towels to soak it...

« Property was lovely and clean. Lovely location and idyllic. Lovely gesture was a packed lunch for the following day and a complimentary beer in the room fridge. Perfect stay. Ideally could have had a fan in the room as the weather was extremely hot. 10 out of 10. »

« This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible.
