« The entire experience at the Whaleback Inn was like stepping into a small town romance novel. Every cabin was cozy and the owners were very welcoming and hospitable. There was a great community area and ample outdoor seating on the porch, property, and pier that gave the best views. We absolutely loved our time there and will be booking again soon! »

« This is an outstanding property! Check-in was a breeze and we had a welcome letter telling us of the history of the lodge. The lodge has everything you would expect of a log cabin in the woods - huge comfortable furniture, beautiful fireplaces, very comfortable beds --- PLUS this is sprawling. There was more than enough for our family group. On several nights, with windows open (yes they are screened) several in our group heard owls hooting and attests to the remoteness of the place. « The unit we stayed in was very clean (no pets allowed) which is top priority for me! Convenient to the boat ramp right across the street. Salve and the staff at the restaurant were super friendly and accommodating! Thai food and pizza was delicious too. Will stay here again next year! »

« This property was perfect for my husband and me. It is one of the cleanest rentals I’ve stayed in and it was centrally located for great access to Suttons Bay, Fishtown, Old Mission Peninsula, and of course Traverse City. I highly recommend this property! »
