« We had a wonderful time at the Farmhouse! The house was thoughtfully stocked for our needs, clean and comfortable. The proximity to Shenandoah was the reason we chose the location at about a 15 minute drive to the Thornton gap entrance. Luray is about 10-15 minutes away for groceries and restaurants. We loved the porch for coffee in the morning and we had someone who stayed in the writers cottage and loved it. I would definitely stay at the farmhouse again if I were in the area. »

« Absolutely fabulous home! Stayed two nights with 8 friends for a ladies weekend and had a wonderful experience. The house is situated beautifully, well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, and had extremely comfortable beds. We loved being so close to the Old Rag trailhead, and also got to enjoy the local area as well. Elena (host) was extremely responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend. »

« This location was perfect for 16 college friends to gather for a 3 day weekend getaway. Plenty of beds, kitchen space, dining space, gathering areas inside and out. « We were having a family gathering in the mountains. We really appreciated this large home. This included five couples. Everyone had their own room. All beds were king or queen. There were several bathrooms, great kitchen, living and dining rooms for gathering. A grocery store was a very short drive away. The neighborhood was quiet and nice. Internet was reliable. Air conditioning worked well. There were three stories, but the stairs were no problem for us. We absolutely would stay here again. »

« We had a great stay at Hillandale! It was a perfect spot for gathering family in town for our son’s wedding. It was clean, comfortable and very well stocked. There were lovely extras like snack baskets and fresh flowers in every room and extra toiletries in the bathrooms. A highlight was the beautiful outdoor space and setting. The house is an old farmhouse that has been added on to over the years which makes for long windy hallways upstairs and lots of hidden staircases. We loved it. Do note...

« We had the best time. My grandkids ages 8-14 loved feeding and petting the animals. The animals are rescues which makes them more special. The home was spotless, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was huge and well equipped. Farmer Tony and farmer Michelle were the best. We have booked for a second visit! »

"Cet hébergement se situe à moins de 5 minutes du Shenandoah Skyline Drive. C'est la raison pour laquelle nous l'avions choisi, puisque nous voulions rouler sur le Skyline Drive en moto. Si notre groupe de motocyclistes et moi avions su que c'était aussi sale et délùbré, nous aurions choisi un autre hébergement. Il y a une piscine extérieure, mais l'eau était brouillée. Le pourtour de la piscine était jonché de déchets. L'intérieur de notre chambre et la salle de bain étaient sales et avec beaucoup de traces de doigts sur les murs et les portes. Il y avait un espace d'environ 1/2 à 1 pouce entre la porte de la chambre et le cadre de celle-ci."
