« The house was just as advertised. Back yard was great for our dog.Home was clean and everything worked. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and not the most convenient location, but I never felt unsafe and it was quiet. »

« What a great little place to just relax. Easy check-in and out. We met the property owners who were friendly and hospitable. We were able to relax for a couple of days without the hustle and bustle of the “popular spots” over a holiday weekend. Thank you for sharing Tranquil Villa!! »

« We took our twin daughters up for a few days to have fun at Busch Gardens. This house was perfect for everything that we wanted! The girls each took a friend, so the 4 girls took over the bedrooms upstairs. We mostly ate at the house & the fully was more stocked than I expected!I don’t even know if I can list any constructive criticism. I was a perfect 3 night get away »

« Pro: pretty clean, fenced in yard, very spacious, AC worked well, comfortable beds, roof doesn’t leak.Cons: some lightbulbs burned out and not working including the kitchen and main family room with the one couch of the house, very little kitchen supplies (there is a coffee pot with coffee grounds and filters but no coffee mugs), lack of any kind of cleaning supplies: no paper towels, broom, dishwasher pods, no washcloths or hand towels, no working washer or dryer (washer was unplugged with...

« The house was well appointed , quiet, and had a beautiful view of the water from the back deck. The home was clean, spacious and inviting. The host was wonderful to work with.Our group enjoyed spending time on the beach in the evening watching the sunset. I would absolutely recommend this property if you are looking for a peaceful getaway. We didn't take advantage of it this time but the area is wonderful to stay in for easy day trips to Busch Gardens or Colonial Williamsburg. »

« Space is important when you are having a wedding, but its also nice to have something to do while you are at your home base waiting for the next event. Perfect for the grooms men to get ready for a wedding at Keffer Hall. »

« nice quite, off the beaten path house that my family of 3 adults, one dog, and two kids enjoyed. nice set up, with space to relax. ( gave me ideas for my own home). amanda was quick to respond and help when i needed it. would come back in a heartbeat if i get another chance. »

« Cottage très propre et bien confortable avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Une vue fabuleuse sur le fleuve, une plage privée, un calme absolu, des balbuzards pêcheurs comme spectacle journalier.... Seuls points négatifs: salle de bain/ toilette vraiment petite, par contre fonctionnant très bien. Et les lits faisaient 130 cm de large( après vérification!)... Un peu étroit pour des couples. Malgré cela, nous avons passé une très bonne semaine, vraiment ressourçante et dépaysante! »

« The home was very comfortable for 5 of us with room to spare. Located in a friendly small town. Many extras included. There are many activities for kids. Our grandchildren had a great time, they would have liked to just stay at the property!. The ferry to Jamestown is very convenient and there is much to see on that side. We also visited the town of Smithfield which is only 20 minutes away. We were looking for a nice slow and relaxing pace and found it. »

« My mom, sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The clean, welcoming property was so much fun to explore and enjoy. Staying at this historic property added so much charm to our vacation which included Jamestown and Williamsburg. We enjoyed taking the ferry each day and found this property to be in a great location. »

« We rented the house as lodging and a central location while family and friends came to town for a local funeral. The house fully suited our needs with plenty of rooms and space for everyone to be together or take time on their own. The view of the river is amazing and we enjoyed sitting out by the fire pit last night. Overall a great experience and we’re already talking about renting it again for a few days this summer. »

« This is the second year we have stayed here. Superb views over the James river. Quiet location. Very near Scotland Jamestown ferry. Free and one of the US best trips.There were only 3 of us so the house was spacious and we had a bathroom each. All the facilities you need , Good wifi and Tubi TV. Overall excellent »
