Mini Takes the States 2014 Road Rally St. Louis to Chicago Leg: This is a 1934 Pontiac '8' Sport Coupe. It looks so Gangster... I can just picture them riding on the rails screaming down a Chicago street with Tommy-guns blasting. "Take that you dirty rats !" ... so I watched a lot of T.V. as a kid. Pontiac Oakland Auto Museum is really cool and FREE ! Very well done and super clean museum. Someone had the budget to do this right and the attention to detail is extremely impressive. #MTTS2014 #minitakesthestates #go11 #vintage #route66
Mini Takes the States 2014 Road Rally St. Louis to Chicago Leg: This is the "School Bus Road Yacht" prize of the late Bob Waldmire. Bob lived in this thing and was an integral part of the Route 66 Revival. He was am eccentric hippie and a traveler of a age and of places in time that is lost to us forever but still fun to dream about. I think his story is fascinating. The Museum has thousands of pieces of historic memorabilia from the Mother Roads glory days. FREE ADMISSION - but they appreciate donations! #MTTS2014 #minitakesthestates #go11 #vintage #route66
