« The house was very nice, we loved sitting on the screened in porch watching all the beautiful birds and listening to the river. »

« We enjoyed the quiet, laidback feel while staying at the Raven's Roost. It was easy access to food and other interests and about 20 minutes to the Shenandoah N.P. at Thornton Gap entrance. The hosts, who live on the property, were friendly and accomodating. We appreciated the pet friendly accommodations. Ed and Betsy were thoughtful in leaving 1/2 dozen fresh eggs and tasty, homemade bread on our arrival. »

« My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and charming cottage. From the moment we pulled in, we could feel ourselves taking a deep breath as we took in the gorgeous landscape and the sounds of laughter and music from the tasting room next door. Upon first walking into the home, you are greeted with a genuine sense of warmth and welcome - I honestly thought we were entering a family's home! Once inside, you really can't hear anything from the tasting room and outdoor seating...

« Several things were not what was expected. Most notably was ants all over the kitchen counters and sink. And very damp towels folded in the bathroom. The towels had clearly not been dried enough and were presented as if useable for morning showers. But we came to find them wet and smelly. We didn’t have time to dry them so we had to use what we could. Finally the beds were in terrible condition that sank into the middle of the- it was a very unpleasant night sleep. »

« Very beautifully decorated, clean and well maintained cottage. We appreciate all detail info provided about the house and surroundings and especially the warm welcome with lights and hot tub ready to use. It's located in more secluded location but not too far from local attractions, so we enjoyed hiking in Shanendoah NP. Wisteria Winery 5 min from cottage is awesome too. »
