« This property was quite charming and as described in the listing. It met all of our needs and the location to stores in Stockholm was terrific. There were a few things that surprised us (not negatives, we just didn’t expect these:TRAINS: The house is about 150’ from two train tracks. Trains run all day/night at periodic intervals. The good news is they don’t blare their horns when running through Stockholm. But the trains are noisy, and we didn’t see anything about this in the listing. It is...

« Although we spent most of our time enjoying the Driftless Area via motorcycles, the time we spent at our house was relaxing. The house sits off a gorgeous, winding road with amazing views. We drove up one side of the Mississippi and back the other, spanning MN, WI and IA. We had dinner at The Freight House and wandered downtown Lacrosse some. Great old school supper club about 20 minutes away. Laurie was very attentive. Thank you for helping make great memories! »

« We booked this cabin while in the area for a wedding. We were most looking forward to the trout stream fishing as advertised in the name. Unfortunately there was significant foliage overgrowth to the point we couldn’t access the stream due to poisonous flowers surrounding all the trails. We were unaware of the flowers until reading about it in a welcome book on the property. There was also a significant carpenter ant infestation in the bathroom and loft sleeping area. « Us girls just loved our stay at the Journey Inn. Jenn greeted us and showed us around the cottage and the grounds. We enjoyed the gift shop and bought some gifts for friends back home. The library was also wonderful with so many great books to read. If we were staying longer we definitely would have been partaking. The bedding and towels were wonderful! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would ever need. Thanks again to Brett and Jenn for a wonderful stay! »
