« Guest room was over 80 degrees the whole weekend. AC unit was not working. A portable unit and 2 fans were put in the room instead, which did little to no good. When asked to be moved, was told there was no other rooms with 2 beds, was given no other options and no discount. The room smelled musty from all the hot stale air. »

« I don’t usually write reviews but my experience at this hotel was exceptional. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful when I checked in after 9:00 and I enjoyed a tasty drink at the bar before bed. The room and bed were great, and the service at breakfast was perfect. My only quibble is that the breakfast wasn’t up to the rest of the experience. The deck overlooking the Mississippi River is stunning. »

« When I checked in the woman working was sitting eating lunch(which is fine) but she seemed irritated that I walked in and needed to check in. I asked when I checked in if I could get a room on the second floor. I was told no due reserving through a third party. At 9:40pm I received a phone call stating she had spoken to her manager and they cleaner it for me to move rooms. I declined and went back to bed. The next day I was I walking through the lobby and walked by the staff member and said...

« They’re under a remodel so that was not counted against them. The pool was amazing for the kids and so was Moxies! We unfortunately were not in a recently renovated room but our friends were and it looked great! Ours was not bad though. Breakfast was good for us and it’s free so not sure why people gripe. Our frustration falls with the owners and their lack of communication and the lack of description in the rooms. We booked a deluxe after calling the hotel since the description was non-existent...

« This is an excellent property with caring owners. The rooms are well-appointed, parking is a dream, there is a great park and the river nearby. Marty and Tiff run the property semi-remotely, which actually works very well! Very responsive to requests and attentive to their guests needs. Scones from the cafe in town were a nice addition. Be sure to ask for daily room cleaning if you want it, try the lounge—which has a very good whiskey collection—and just enjoy! »
