« Really great place to stay, well-equipped kitchen and plenty of space. Communicative hosts who graciously allowed us an early check-in. Would have loved to enjoy the backyard, grill and deck but the Kansas heat dome had other ideas. Would definitely stay here again when I’m back in Lawrence with a group. »

« But we did not all stay there., We had a family meeting for a family funeral and it was a wonderful place to hang out and enjoy the grill in the backyard. Plenty of open space and everyone enjoyed it. The neighborhood was nice and safe. It was close to Family property in Topeka. The host was wonderful. We had no problems. The Internet works great beautifully decorated. »

« This was my second stay at the Bennett. I absolutely love this home and consider it as my Kansas home when I come to visit family. I love its warmth and charm, its huge kitchen and dining table, and the comfortable tv room and bedrooms. The patio and backyard are perfect for my morning coffee and relaxing in the evening. The home has everything a family needs to make for a memorable stay. And best of all, the hosts are fantastic and are available if I ever need anything. I'll be back again soon,...

« Great location! Convenient to downtown and all of Lawrence. I used to live downtown so I know about the trains. Yes you can hear them as it clearly states in the description. We actually liked the rumble of the trains after the horns. Home is great with everything anyone could need. Great courtyard that I imagine in the spring is bloomed and beautiful. Host was easy to communicate with and very responsive. If trains bother you don’t stay here but if you know Lawrence you know this is a great...

« Great place to stay. We had 5 people stay at the house, but the living room was able to accommodate our 2 kids who came to visit during the day. »

« Maybe the best VRBO I have ever booked. The house is comfortably big for a large group. We had 10 women. Everything was clean. The host went above and beyond to provide unexpected treats, coffee, fruit, win, snacks,etc. The outside decks and patios provided an accommodating place to enjoy the beautiful view. We throughly enjoyed our stay! »

« This was a great place to stay in Emporia! There were 4 of us and it was the perfect size! The location is close to everything. Honestly, the bed was more comfortable than my own! I Highly recommend! »

« This townhouse provided a comfortable place to unwind at the end of 10 total long days working and teaching outdoors at a nearby archeology field school. Two bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom. The bedroom/bathroom downstairs contains the laundry as well. The appliances work. Kitchen is stocked well, including extra paper towels, garbage bags. The neighbors were friendly, including the doggie next door. Thanks from all of us. »

« The host Deb was very responsive and helpful with check-in. The house was clean when we arrived. There were also fresh baked cookies for us. We were in town for a wedding and needed an early check in for changing prior to our event, the host was very accommodating. ***One thing for the host to check out is a possible clogged plumbing vent as there is noise in the kitchen sink after flushing the downstairs toilet. »

« Brandie was fabulous and communicated everything well. The house was well advertised and perfect for our stay. It was well stocked with everything we needed for making coffee and breakfast. The grocery was convenient. I hope to use again when I’m in town for business. »

Overrated or I'm unlucky?

"I don't understand the average review rate... My room was strongly smelling cigarette even if it is supposed to be non-smoking room and it was not that clean. At the breakfast there were no more eggs and regular coffee. The only employee I saw seemed too busy to take care of all these details. The AC was so so. I understand it's under renovations but they don't even seem to try to make up for that. On the positive side it was quiet until about 7:30 when the construction workers started. The young lady at the check-in seemed friendly. Even if the price is low, I think they can do better..."
