« We really enjoyed our stay here! My family wanted to explore Garner State Park, and this was a great option that was about twelve minutes away. It was a great place to retreat to after a full day of hiking! One of the bedrooms (the one with the angled ceiling) is a loft style, and my niece adored it! « I picked this cabin for the proximity of several hiking locations. Perfect location to enjoy Garner State Park, Lost Maples Natural Area, the Frio and several local hiking/ biking areas. The room was super clean. Exactly as pictured. Mattress was very comfortable and the extra blankets came in handy on a 35 degree night. Great views from the porch and around the property. « The host was extremely responsive, welcoming, and friendly. She provided great ideas for things to do and see in the area. I grew up in Real county so I am very knowledgeable about the area. « Property was clean and tidy. I will note that the lack of bedding is not obvious in the listing which is why I deducted a star in my overall rating. It's listed in a caption of a photo instead of in the main body description. There is also limited seating by the fire pit, which I would have brought camp chairs for if that had been clear from the photos.
