« We were 10 people. One family of 5 stayed in the bunkhouse, one family upstairs and 1 couple downstairs. We had plenty of room and it was comfortable. There was good water in the river. It is a quiet and peaceful location. We enjoyed our stay and would return. »

« August 2025 family vacation was great the whiskey mountain Valley Cabins were amazing from check in to check out. Check-in was a breeze. The owners made it very easy and very straightforward with how to check in, they even let us know if that the cabin was ready way before our check in. The kitchen was great. They were fully equipped with utensils, pots and pans they provided a coffee maker and microwave. Everything was great. The cabin was literally like in their description just minutes away...

« We had a group of 14 (preteens, teens, & adults) and stayed for 4 nights. We loved how everything was set up. The bunkhouse was the perfect setup for the teens. We loved how close to town the house is and just a short drive to Garner. With the houses, pool, river, pavilion, and games we had everything we needed right there. Thanks so much for hosting us! »

« This was exactly what we were needing! The cottage is adorable and private, which we loved. The sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking! We spent hours in the afternoons enjoying the river and I think our dogs enjoyed it more than we did! It was flowing nicely, clear and cold. We love the Frio, it’s always been our happy place! We will be back! »

"Juste pour une nuit étape, si aucun autre hôtel de disponible…les photos sont trompeuses, hôtel défraîchi, manque d’entretient, chambre décevante, petit déjeuné qui se limite à du café (ou thé) et gaufres à se faire avec l’appareil à gaufre…nous ne l’avons pas pris, heureusement il y a un restaurant de l’autre côté de la rue. Heureusement, nous avons eu un très bon matelas."
