Found a nice overlook on my trip down to Atlanta. I have decided to leave for any trip a hour early and find something I haven't seen in-between. This time it was the dam. I got there about 15 minutes before sunset. Colorized it some, but still like it.

I ended up talking to a lady for 30 minutes about the area. Seems I'v been missing out on a lot around here, especially if you like waterfalls. I'll have to be back.

« We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy lake cottage. The setting was peaceful, the renovations tasteful, and the patio fernishings, firepit, and kayaks made for great family outdoor time. The kitchen was better stocked than expected, and the labeled light switches were a thoughtful touch. The dedicated ice maker is nice bonus if you spend a day on the lake. The host responded quickly to the few small issues we had. Just be prepared for stairs — it’s three levels — and bring your own extra paper...

« The cottage was clean, the listing is accurate and the location is about 20 minutes from downtown Knoxville. It is conveniently located to grocery, restaurants and gas stations. We were visiting for a UTK game weekend so did not spend a lot of time at the property but if you need those amenities they are close by. One negative is that other than 4 coffee mugs there is no other drink wear so if you plan to utilize the kitchen plan accordingly. Other than that it suited our needs. »
