« Our cottage was listed as having a bay view, and we paid over $300/night for this view. The cottage was on a narrow (not super clean looking) man-made canal, with a parking lot to a hotel on the other side of the canal. The canal is wider than a ditch but very narrow. Very technically speaking, you can see the natural body of water (referred to as the bay) if you look through the landscape and other buildings between our cottage and the water, but the view was not in any reasonable way a bay...

« Very clean room. Rented a small boat from them and took our dogs with us; they loved being on a boat! Beautiful views of the water and assateague lighthouse right from the property, especially at sunset. We paid for the water taxi to take us to a secluded beach for a few hours. The dogs got to run in the sand, and we saw the wild horses on the same shore as us maybe 100 yards away! The staff was very attentive. »
