« This rental is located in a quiet community. The updates to the home are well done. We really liked the location of being in the city, yet being within driving distance of the major attractions. The hosts were very nice and easy to work with. 2 things to mention...We loved that it is pet friendly, but it is important to note you cannot leave your pets at the rental unattended. « This is a fantastic home in an extremely convenient part of Western South Dakota. While staying here we visited Devils Tower in Wyoming all the way to Rushmore and Custer State Park and the Badlands. All of these were short day trips from our home base in this historic house. « The home was so beautiful, cozy, decorated so nicley, and clean. They had all the amenities we could need. Even forgot shampoo and they had it available. The kids loved the outdoor playground and beautiful grounds. Everyone loved the private hottub, which was warm and ready to go upon arrival. The ping pong table was a big hit as well. « Everything about The Overlook was perfect! We were in town for our oldest grandson’s high school graduation and a mini-family reunion. The house was spotless when we arrived with everything we needed. The kitchen was open with a large table for meals and family card games, there was plenty of seating in the upstairs living room and basement family room. « Property owners were very friendly and responded quickly to questions. House was very clean! The bedrooms are all upstairs and I didn’t ask that question when booking. (I will next time). The one bathroom is very small. The water smells like sulphur except on the facet in kitchen that was filtered. The GPS takes you to a locked gate that doesn’t go through to the property but Kelli was very quick to reply and even offered to come meet us. Overall a good experience!
