« Had an absolutely fabulous week at the Parson Woodforde. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and a credit to Mark and Maria :) The food was incredible, all local produce with lovely fresh seafood specials and all very well seasoned! The roast on Sunday was one of the best I’ve ever had and we were made to feel very welcome and given loads of useful local information, nothing was too much trouble and the rooms were immaculate. « Lovely room. Ours was at the top, it was a hot night and heat rises! We did have the windows open but it’s quite a busy road so lots of road noise. The blind also let in a lot of light too and if light sensitive there was a bright green light shinning in the ceiling. Bed very comfortable as were the pillows. Restaurant packed and the food was good. I had the roast and my husband had the mutton curry - huge potions. Staff very helpful and smiley but rushed off their feet. »

Chambre Double Supérieure, salle de bains attenante

« Wonderful property, staff amazing. Only "gripes" are - four poster bed is a *little* small, it's the equivalent of a small double bed. Also, the shower doesn't have much power. It's an older, historical property, so do factor that into a stay. As highlighted above though, the staff were brilliant, and the (included) breakfast was sublime. We will be back! 👍 »

« Fantastic staff mostly shout out to poppy who was amazing ! Breakfast and pizzas amazing , views from pub garden lovely , Lady at breakfast very grumpy and told to leave the room early S she needed to clean it although we had an prior arrangement to book out late , she made us leave very rude »

« Stayed in an upstairs room in The Bakery. Stairs are very steep so, if you have any issues with climbing stairs, make sure you are not staying in an upstairs room. Cocktails were fabulous in the pub! »

« Great place to stay. Lovely welcome to a property that we found perfect. We really appreciated the help with the puncture too. Easy access for the Thursford Christmas Spectacular from here. »

« Very welcoming hosts, lovely clean cozy room. The breakfast was freshly cooked using local products. Particularly to note the bacon was well above the normal Parking easy and a pleasant local pub within five minutes walk would highly recommend. »

« Heating didnt work but there was an electric heater. Some mould around the windows and hot water took ages to warm up. Otherwise comfortable and quiet location. Budget stay in average conditions »

"The team at reception and at the restaurant (dinner, breakfast) were professionals and very kind. There is a big issue with housekeeping : we stayed with a baby during 5 nights and we had to show we were upset: then they cleand our room ! In fact they never used the vacuum (but we asked for because the room was very dusty ) snd they made the befs only once in 5 nights !!!! 200 euro per night : the cleaning doesn’t deserve this money !!!!"

"Le lieu est absolument magnifique, la propriété, le parc, les arbres. En revanche les lieux de restauration ont clairement besoin d'un manager. Malgré le nombre conséquent de personnel, le petit déjeuner n'était pas régulièrement fourni. Les employés sont cachés à droite à gauche, occupés à plier des serviettes en discutant ou en consommant des bouteilles cachées dans les placards... Un soir nous avons attendu 1h notre commande de repas alors que nous étions avec 2 enfants. C'est vraiment dommage car le lieu est magique et mérite mieux. "
