Bodega Bay on the Edge of Pacific Ocean
Coastal Cottage on Double Lot
expansive patio & view of Coastal Highway 1 listening to the sound of Pacific Ocean. We fell in love with the property for the fabulous location, a few minutes walk to the beach + serene dunes in the backyard. Situated on a spacious double lot there is ample outdoor space to sit, chill & relax. Fully stocked kitchen. comfy sun-filled living room lined on 3 sides by large windows. Dining Room with large table perfect for sit down family meals, games and storytellingâŠ
We had an amazing time at this beautiful beach cottage. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Communication and ease of entry were perfect. Our host was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely book here again when we come back. I am attaching a picture of the beautiful succulent in the patio area.
This vacation property was great, fully stocked, cozy, and had alot of personal touches with a sort of coastal bohemian feel to it. The outdoor space was huge with nice furnishings, fire pit and the sound of the ocean-tons of potential for outdoor games and fun! The only downside was that the charcoal grill was a bit rundown. We loved the neighborhood and close proximity to the beach and will definitely be back!
The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was responsive and helpful throughout. The location was convenient and peaceful â perfect for a short getaway. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
Family of 4 had an amazing stay! House was even nicer than expected and the location was AMAZING. We had so much fun exploring the dunes and the nearby beach was beautiful and private. Close to nearby hiking, tide pools, redwoods- would definitely book again!
Iâve stayed in many of the rentals in Salmon Creek and so knew the homes were older. This home was comfortable, it would be been nice if the second bedroom sliding glass door opened. There was no way to get fresh air to cool the room. We didnât do any cooking but it looked well equipped for doing so. The main bedroom bed was very comfortable. We loved the privacy and size of the patio and the access to the beach just over the dunes.
Great property location. Backyard backed up to dunes making for easy access to the beach. Large yard and clean house. Functional kitchen and comfortable living spaces.
The property is the perfect getaway for those of us with fur babies. The place itself is a perfect set up with doors and gates that can help manage the doggos. The yard is also a great playground (with supervision) and while completely fenced, there is furniture, etc. that you'll need to manage around. The location is quiet, except for the roar of the nearby ocean waves...great starting point for walks along the beach, or even into the village of Bodega Bay. Will be returning soon! Thank you, great hosts!
This cottage was a find! A little bit rustic, a little bit coastal and a touch of whimsy. We had two beautiful sunny days where we sat in the morning sunshine having coffee and watching the birds, especially loved the hummingbirds. We could hear the ocean roar in the background but were sheltered from the wind. The place was clean, comfy beds and nice cotton linens and towels.
One of the best house rental stays we have had. The house is even better than described. So thoughtfully decorated for beach fun and comfort. Beautiful lighting throughout the house, especially in the living room. The primary bedroom has indoor shutters so you can sleep through the bright morning, or nice sun shades so you can let the sun in as desired. The primary bed is electric and raises to your preference, there is even a zero gravity setting. We played scrabble by the fire on colder evenings (bring your own wood!). The house is well equipped with items you may needâwe forgot our dog leashes and there were two leashes hanging by the front door. So many comfortable seating options indoors and outdoors. The house is full of board games and books to explore when you're not out exploring the beaches and dunes. The beach is a short hike over the dunes behind the house, you can hear the waves from the yard. There is an easier public path to the beach just down the road that doesn't require walking over the dunes. The neighborhood is delightful--full of beautiful clearly well-loved houses. The large yard is fully fenced in, so our dogs had a great time romping outside while we enjoyed sitting under the shade on the patio. Host was very attentive and quick to respond to questions.(Dog owners: The beach behind the house is not dog friendly, but there are several dog friendly beaches a very short drive away. Beware of beach burrs, foxtails, and ticks in the dunes.)
Owners were fabulous with their communication and had great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The only negative was there were no top sheets on the single beds. Otherwise very clean and close to the ocean.
This is a quiet neighborhood in March. Might be much busier at high season. The directions to the house were spot on. The garden area is private and fully fenced which was excellent for my pups. The sand is right outside the back gate and you can hear the roar of the sea sitting in the garden area. I am 75 with knees that are in decline. The sand dunes were a challenge for me. A map of the trails would be nice. My few days were rainy and cold, but it was cosy and warm inside. Some reviews mentioned problems with the wall heaters. I did not have issues with them. The pictures of the house are accurate.
My family and I loved the eclectic seaside cabin decor and atmosphere. The house was cozy and quiet. The short walk to Salmon Creek beach and the dunes was very nice. Host was prompt with communication and answered any questions I had. We will definitely make this our go to when we visit Bodega Bay!
My friends and I loved this beach house for our short getaway, and we hope to come back next year! The house description is spot on. You canât beat to short walk to the beach, at least thatâs what my friends said, as I stayed in the house with my broken ankle. The house is quite decent for crutches and a knee scooter as there are no stairs. A couple things to keep in mind if looking to stay hereâŠif youâre over 6â2â ish be prepared to duck and if youâre using the twin beds, they may not have a top sheet (at least we didnât have them for our stay). My favorite part was having a cozy fire each night! The owner was amazingly quick to respond to my questions. Overall, quite delightful!
Very charming cottageâ our dog loved the yard. I think it would be a great place for a family with young kidsâ the 2nd bedroom was adorable! My husband and I never actually walked to the beach from the house. There were large sand dunes to cross, plus construction going on. But it was an easy drive to numerous other nice beaches.
This home was just what i needed. So quiet, you could hear the roar of the ocean. So out of the way, you can see a sky full of stars. Yet a 5 minute walk to the ocean. Miles of beach. Miles of dunes then only 5 minute drive to Bodega bay trail cove. Another amazing ocean experience. And Bodega Head, a casual hike for amazing views of the ocean, Bodega bay and our bea California hill scape. The home is lovely. Comfortable, cozy and clean! Private with everything you may need. A breath of fresh air. And... a wonderful conscience, attentive host!I will be back!
Great first impression upon arrival, all set up like a welcoming home ready for guests. Kids loved the stuffed doggies in their room, location in the neighborhood walking out the back gate onto the sand was magical, and grew to appreciate many other little charms of what's not the newest beach house, but plenty comfortable!
