« Visited Grand Mercure in 2026, after the refurbishing. The landscaping works at the entrance is still being upgraded, and the entire hotel looks brand new. The team of staff were all efficient and warm, from the reception, concierge, to the Ambrosia Restaurant. They have a convenient shuttle to the mall, with a brand new van. The kueh lapis and grilled sausages at the breakfast buffet were delicious, and the chefs did the grilling on the spot. Will be keen to try the Sup Buntut next time...

« The pool area is quite narrow. To make things worse, smoking was allowed anywhere. It could also be no one was enforcing no smoking at the poolside. I was with my kids and we have to keep moving to different parts of the pool to avoid 2nd hand smokes. »

« Despite being a hotel that is quite old, we appreciate that the room was renovated to a modern look and we like the beddings and stuff. However the bathroom was a let down because sewage odour kept escaping through the floor traps. To cover the smell, the housekeeping use urinal mat, commonly used in public men's toilet urinals, as deodoriser, making not only the bathroom but the whole room (in fact the whole floor) to smell like public toilet. »
