« Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful. »

« This property may have been okay for an overnight or maybe two but lacked a lot of the necessities needed for period of time. Shower was a challenge. Unable to communicate with the host do to a country cell phone difference. No WiFi, etc… »

« Just back from a fabulous holiday here, the house and the garden are lovely. A great base on the South of the Island, a 15min drive to Whiting Bay. Excellent kitchen with large family dining table, comfortable living room with a stove for log fires. Bedrooms are all very well presented again with stunning views over the Firth of Clyde, the view directly looking at Ailsa Craig was just beautiful. The TV doesn’t work, I’d suggest bringing an hdmi cable to your own device to watch shows. The...

« Absolutely stunning cottage set in the most beautiful location right on the sea. Property is finished to the highest quality and standard and has everything you could need when staying in a rental. Alan and Ann were wonderful hosts providing lots of local information. The cottage is in a great location with lots of places to visit within a short drive. The outlook from the windows is beautiful- lots of local wildlife can be seen. Very pet friendly. Would highly recommend. »
