« This pub is one of our favourites! We stayed for a second time round on our way to Suffolk from Brittany. The food is superb, location and landscape stunning, accomodation clean and comfy. The staff is always smiling and friendly. What more can one possibly want? Hopefully, we'll be back! »

« Mon mari et moi avons passé un très agréable séjour à cet hôtel situé à quelques kilomètres de Douvres. Le personnel était particulièrement accueillant. « Staff not very friendly (both on check in and check out). It seemed as if they would like to be anywhere except where they were then and there and they did not seem keen to help with anything. The walls are very thin and people speaking in the corridor sound like they are in your room. You can also hear everything outside. Did not have a good night's sleep and would not book to stay here again. »

« Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation.
