« Travelled with 2 puppies was worried about how things would be. Didn’t need to be worried as dog friendly rooms available & staff very accommodating. Meals served all day & a good variety to choose from. Have booked for close family to stay later in the year. »

« Super clean. Cozy bed. Restaurant under the hotel. Right on the main street walkable to everything, the beach and other restaurants. I was glad there was a fan as I had a room on the front of the hotel and the evening sun was streaming in. Without the fan I wouldn't have slept at all in the heat. I was overcharged for dinner. The menu said salmon was 17 pounds but they charged me 21. They also added a 10% tip. I just found it to be predatory to tourists when that is their business. »

« If you like Harry Potter, then you’ll like the accommodation, as there is a strong Harry Potter theme running throughout. That said, the cleanliness of the room occupied was at best ok while shelf space was extremely limited. Breakfast was a two-part affair, split between a cold buffet and a limited selection of hot food from the breakfast menu. The buffet was poorly provisioned when it comes to the likes of pastries, fresh fruit and yogurts with such items either lacking in variety or quantity,...

« Ne soyez pas effrayés par la proximité de l'autoroute, une fois dans votre chambre vous n'entendrez plus rien.... Mais vous serez réveillés par les premiers rayons du soleil puisque les fenêtres n'ont pas de rideaux...! L'ensemble de la bâtisse pourrait être très agréable si l'on ne tombait pas sans cesse sur des gravats ou des vieux meubles abandonnés. Notre chambre était spacieuse, avec une petite salle de douche . Petite TV pour la distance par rapport au lit. Lit un peu ferme.... Le...

« The pictures on the site do not represent the reality of this hotel. It’s currently very run down and in need of lots of work. We stayed for 3 nights, we only had 3 towels and although we asked for more twice, were not given any and they weren’t changed during our stay. The bathroom looked new but unfinished. There was nowhere to put shampoo etc. in the shower, the floor was slippy (I bought a rubber mat for them) the toilet flush was dodgy and neither the fan or light above the mirror worked....

« A very comfortable and well furnished cottage. We were able to cook good meals on an excellent gas range although there are a few bits and pieces of cutlery/crockery that would have made it even better. This was the fifth time we have stayed in this cottage; it is a great place to stay if you want to see many places in the area. We even visited Newcastle (easy if you use 'park and metro') and as far as Kelso in Scotland to see Floors Castle. »
