Très belles vacances en famille
La villa est grande et très propre. Chaque membre de la famille avait son petit coin privé. Le quartier est tranquille en mai mais avec tout ce dont on a besoin à distance de marche, épicerie, resto, café…. La plage est magnifique! Nous avons besoin apprécié nos vacances à Manta Rota et à la Casa Betel!!!

Excellent property, excellent location, excellent attentions
We stayed at this property for ten days in Dic-Jan. The property is located about 5 min from the Manta Rota village, very close to the shops and restaurants along the main street leading to the beach. Manta Rota is a great beach: a long and wide stretch of sand, flanked by beautiful countryside scenery. Despite our stay being in the thick of winter, it was sunny and warm throughout; and, although this was low season, there was plenty of local life. The house was spotlessly clean on arrival, and the grounds meticulously maintained. Inside, it is large enough to accommodate a group 10 or 12 people. Outside, you can expand onto the two large patios where you can enjoy the weather. A well equipped barbecue area adds to the enjoyment of the outdoors. Everything is thoughtfully laid out for you to feel welcome and to enjoy your holiday. Our interaction with Andrew and Marina was without a hitch. They responded quickly, professionally and efficiently to our messages.

Perfect getaway!
I stayed at Casa Betel with 5 friends and the villa truly exceeded our expectations. Wonderfully spacious with lots of bathrooms and gorgeous garden and pool area. We particularly loved the heated pool and outdoor eating area. These were all cleaned and tidied on the Friday of our stay but it didn’t take long. We didn’t have a BBQ but maybe next time! We loved that the kitchen was well equipped too, although we thought if we were cooking for more people we may have struggled with the single oven. The dishwasher and washing machine were so handy. Location wise, it was quiet (but we were in off season). Other reviewers said beware of the cockerels but they didn’t bother me and the sheep were cute. Loved Santa Rota itself. Not at all built up or too touristy. A few nice shops and restaurants (I’m sure more open in high season). The beach, sand dunes and boardwalk were all glorious. All in all a perfect ladies get away, I’m sure we will be back! Thank you

Great family villa.
We stayed in early spring and the weather suited us perfectly, not too hot but warm enough to enjoy the outdoors. Glad we paid to have the pool heated at this time of year. Nice layout of villa for a mixed family group. We enjoyed playing pool, darts and table tennis. The local area was very quiet at this time of year which was lovely. The local food is very fish and shellfish orientated and was beautiful. Day trips out to Tavira and Vila Real de Santo Antonio were highlights. Thankyou Andrew and Else.

Beautiful Casa Betel
I organised a 60th birthday treat for my sister with seven other adults and two children 8 years, and 5 years old. From the initial booking, which was simple and very easy, Andrew the host, was always on hand to help out and responded promptly. He recommended transport to and from the airport which went smoothly. A big thank you to Edite who Andrew recommended for the journey to and from the airport. The villa was beautiful. The gardens, the pool area, the internal rooms were all beautifully presented. The kitchen was fantastic, with everything you could think of. The use of a washing machine was great with the small children. All the rooms were lovely, everyone was happy with their choice of room. The lounge was lovely and spacious with three sofas, tv with satellite although we never turned it on! We did have a go on the piano at the rear of the lounge one night, so much fun. We explored Manta Rota, found some great restaurants, and Mars Bar was one of our favourites simply because it was simple. The food was fantastic, the price great, and although it isn’t upmarket it definitely is worth visiting. Local shops and supermarkets are less than 10 mins from the villa which was handy. There’s a fish shop two mins away but I think it’s only open in the mornings. All in all, we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing family break. There’s plenty of exploring to do with the train station about 25 min walk away, where you can get to all the neighbouring towns. We went to Tavira, and Faro, although there were strikes on which was a bit annoying so there were delays, but again, it didn’t spoil our stay. Thank you Andrew for sharing your beautiful villa, it was an amazing week, and I hope we can stay again in the future.

We had an amazing time even if the weather was not as Sunny as we expected. The heated pool saved our holiday due to the weather and everyone really enjoyed themselves. A rental car is a must as there is so much to see and do around the area. Andrew was on hand if we had any issues. Would definitely recommend and go back again.

Spectacular!
This beautiful home is exactly as advertised! We stayed as a multi-generational family of 11 and had plenty of spaces and supplies for everyone. There were plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and the warm temperature of the pool was welcome in March. The beds were comfortable and the number of bathrooms amazing. We walked to the beach and boardwalk daily and ran on the beach. The supermarket, restaurants, butcher and bakery in the village were wonderful. The people were very kind as we tried out our Portuguese. We look forward to returning regularly!

A special and wonderful place to stay.
Casa Betel was a dream to stay at. We were 8 family members staying for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year's. The house exceeded our hopes and was wonderful for us. It is very spacious and well laid out, and has everything you could possibly need. Extremely well supplied, comfortable and homelike. We enjoyed outdoor time in the garden with the pool and mandarin tree, made freshly squeezed orange juice with fruit from the tree, wonderful meals at the spacious dining table and the beds were comfy and bathrooms modern. All was super clean. Andrew and Elsie were incredibly responsive and helpful. they even delivered a turkey to us, ordered from a local butcher. The village was so charming, with a local grocery store, cafes and restaurants all within a block or two's walk. The village is well located and close to many places. We drove to Seville for a day, only a l.5 hour's drive. The beach is spectacular and a five minute walk. Christmas Eve sunset at the beach is a memory we will not soon forget. We highly recommend this house and hope to be back.

Incredible home!
We had our family of 10 stay very comfortably & thoroughly enjoyed our week! It is charming and has plenty of room for all of us. Hosts were wonderful… responsive and helpful! The highlights were Old Times restaurant which is a short walk from the house, sea kayaking into the sea caves and a day spent in Sevilla Spain which is only an hour or so away! We will definitely be returning!

Fantastic Villa
The villa is lovely and is in a great location, almost everything was perfect. Just a couple of very small things that prevent a 5 star review. The pool cues needed replacing,there was no chalk and the outside lights in the courtyard did not work. This meant that it was not possible to make proper use of the games advertised on the listing as you could not play in the evenings due to light.

Fantastic Villa in a lovely seaside location
Everything about the property and location was excellent. 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms were more than enough for our group of ten. We did Yoga on the terrace in the morning and evening and spent the day in the heated pool. The beach was just a 9 minute walk away and there were 2 local restaurants just steps away. The location was so quiet we all slept well and we cooked every night in the well designed kitchen which had everything we needed. There were enough sun beds for us all. A wonderful stay thank you and we will be booking again

We had some difficulty in finding the house,locals were not even sure of the location but. Once found is easy to locate. There were troubles with the power,it went off a dozen times, electrician came three times before it was repaired,also a pipe broke and had to be replaced so we were without hot water for two days. But saying all that, once Everything was repaired we had a wonderful vacation,location was great and restaurants were terrific.

Our family of ten, including four grandchildren (5 and under) just spent a wonderful month at Casa Betel in Manta Rota. The villa was perfect! The two families with their children stayed on the main floor. The remaining adults were upstairs and it was completely sound proof from the early rising children each morning. Beds were all comfortable and hot water and pressure in the showers were great. The living area had comfortable couches, lots of seating for everyone The kitchen was well equipped (we did add a blender, as we are all smoothy junkies each morning). A small washing machine and two drying racks were a bonus. We enjoyed the heated pool daily, lots of lounge chairs and a spacious deck for the children to play. The orange tree was a HUGE bonus, as we had fresh orange juice each morning. The children enjoyed the grassy courtyard. Ladies came twice while we were there to change bedding and towels. The yard and pool were attended to several times. It was a perfect location, close to some wonderful restaurants and cafe's, a butcher shop and grocery store. A short walk to the boardwalk and endless beaches. A two kilometre walk to the Cacela Train Station.(love train travel in Europe!) The local rooster(s), and sheep were great entertainment. We did have a couple of issues that needed attention and Andrew was quick to address them. Thank you for letting us enjoy your villa, great family memories were made.

If you are looking for a place right at the beach with plenty of space for family and friends, this is it! Plenty of rooms and beds for everyone and outside space with a pool table and ping pong. It was also very nice to be able to have the pool heated in November.

La casa está bien, la zona bien, aunque un poco complicado encontrarla. El alquiler está ofertado como 807 euros 4 noches y me han cobrado 849 euros. Lo reclamamos a la persona encargada y no ha contestado nada. Es ilegal hacer eso.

Fantastische villa op top locatie
Zeer ruime villa, netjes ingericht en ruim voldoende voor onze familie met 11 personen. Babybed stond al keurig klaar! Zwembad verwarmd was puur genieten! Alles op loopafstand, ook het strand. Contact met verhuurder was top! Helaas werd één van onze familieleden ziek en moest gebruik maken van het ziekenhuis. Ook hierin alle ondersteuning die zij konden geven en betrokkenheid bij het welzijn.

Tre generasjoner - fra 9 mnd til 70 år koste seg i Casa Betel! Et nydelig og velutstyrt hus med hage og basseng, i trivelige lille Manta Rota. Den flotte stranda, supermarked med ferskt brød og andre matvarer, samt kafeer og restauranter, ligger en rusletur fra huset. Old Times Bistro i nærmeste nabolag, ble "stamkafeen" vår.

Close to shops and restaurants. Very nice bar/restaurant around the corner (Oldtimers). It was not very clean and we missed a basic kit to clean in between. Also strange that you had to rent bath towels extra. Swimming pool was nice and warm. Good contact with the host family alert and helpful.

We are sorry that Bibi did not find the house sufficiently clean. If Bibi had notified us of this we could have sent the cleaners back to sort out any issues. In regard to renting bath towels, Bibi is mistaken. The house provides bed linen and bath and hand towels for clients, if clients wish, we can rent them towels for the Beach.

Rymligt boende för många.

Ideal location
This was a long awaited extended family holiday, which had been postponed from 2020. Andrew the owner, was very patient, as our numbers changed each year due to pregnancy and new grandchildren arriving. The holiday didn’t disappoint. The location was perfect, with the beautiful beach 10mins walk away. There were supermarkets within walking distance and you could easily manage without a car. We paid extra to have the pool heated, as we had small children from 11 months - 3 years old. The temperature was ideal for everyone. There was plenty of space in the villa, kitchen very well equipped, although we couldn’t find the correct capsules for the coffee machine. There was a filter coffee machine however, which was great. We had a problem with the parasols, but Andrew the owner replaced them immediately. The outdoor seating and BBQ area were very good and were used daily. We did have a problem with the shower water going cold, if the water was being used somewhere else. We had a wonderful holiday and hope to return in the future.

Great villa for families with the best pool ever. After a major hiccup at check in which was speedily and generously sorted out by the owners we had a great 2 weeks at this villa. Highly recommend 'Old Times' restaurant just round the corner. Manta Rota is a lovely quiet town with a lovely easily accessible beach

Perfect location and perfect property for a large group!
The Manta Rota location is quite perfect being 40 mins drive from the airport and 10 mins walk to the beautiful white sand beach, passing a great little supermarket on the way. The property is absolutely lovely for a large group with every bedroom comfortable & spacious &living area equally so. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with various quality gadgets and kitchen tools. Both front and rear garden are great spaces where a lot of care and effort is evident. Our family group of children and adults all thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks and have fallen in love with Portugal. ( Great weather too at the beginning of January) Hopefully we can repeat the experience and return in the not too distant future.

Best time away.
We spent 5 great days in Casa Betel. 6 adults and 5 crazy kids. House was great, clean, well equipped and perfectly located. Kids enjoyed swimming pool whatever the weather and trips to the beach which was just 10 minutes from the house. Manta rota is a lovely small village with few restaurants and shops. Perfect for families wanting to have quiet and relaxing time. Everything was perfect! We wish we could stay longer. Highly recommended! For sure would love to go back. 😃😍☀️

Nice place for a family holiday
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Betel very much, with the beautiful outside areas. Manta Rota is a charming village and the beach is absolutely stunning! The villa is spacious, but showing of signes of much wear and lack of maintanance. Half of the outdoor furniture were worn out, except from the stone table and the sunbeds. Because of cold wind during our stay it was better for us to sit in the garden on the front side. We then missed comfortable and safe seating possibilities. Overall, We enjoyed our stay very much and had relaxing holiday!

Vi hyrde huset i en vecka, 10 personer. 6 vuxna och 4 barn. Det var bra utrustat. Förutom poolen fanns det även pingis-och biljardbord m.m. Barnen hade aktiviteter. Trevlig promenadväg ned till stranden. Enda negativa var att tvättmaskinen gick sönder, men det var på slutet av vår vistelse.

Lovely property - we had a power cut while we were out there and the contact was really good with trying to sort out the connection to the TV. Why do you want a TV on holiday you may ask? normally we wouldn't have even switched it on - but there is a lot going on in the news in the UK at the moment so we wanted to keep in touch … all in all - thank you for a lovely holiday!

Prachtige villa dichtbij het strand
Van 25 april tot 2 mei hebben wij met 3 volwassenen en 7 kinderen vakantie gevierd in Casa Betel. Het huis is ruim, netjes, compleet ingericht en goed onderhouden. De tuinen zijn prachtig en er is veel op de pooltafel en de tafeltennistafel gespeeld. Het zwembad was nog wat fris, maar heel netjes. Manta Rota is een klein dorpje maar alles is er. De supermarkt is klein maar heeft veel en er zijn genoeg leuke restaurantjes waar je lekker en goedkoop kunt eten. Bij Mamma Lucia hebben we twee keer heerlijk gegeten. Het strand is op prima loopafstand en echt prachtig. GreenRounds heeft onze transfer perfect geregeld, we konden Edite zelfs bellen als we een taxi nodig hadden. Kortom, een heerlijke vakantie, met gelukkig prachtig weer in een mooi huis, in een leuk dorpje. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Nicht besonders gepflegt, muffiger Geruch, defekte Sanitäreinrichtung.
Wir waren mit 6 bzw. 11 Personen für 9 Tage in diesem Haus. Die Aufteilung der Zimmer und Badezimmer sowie sonstiger Räumlichkeiten erwies sich für eine große Gruppe ideal. Allerdings herrscht im Haus ein muffiger Geruch vor, der besonders in den Schränken bemerkbar ist. Abends zieht ein penetranter Geruch in den Poolbereich, der vom umliegenden Hof kommt. Nachts konnte man trotz geschlossener Fenster wegen der schreienden Hähne und bellenden Hunde kaum schlafen. Das Kücheninventar war teilweise nicht sauber und musste nachgereinigt werden. Die Küchenmöbel sind klebrig. In der Küche konnten leider nur 8 Personen am Tisch sitzen und auch sehr beengt. Die Bezeichnung atemberaubende Schlafzimmer finden wir überzogen. Die Matratzen waren durchgelegen und die Zimmer wirkten unfreundlich. In einem Badezimmer war die Badewanne undicht und die WCspülung funktionierte nicht immer.
