A modernized gem in the centre of old WernigerodePublié le 29 sept. 2014
Les + : New, modern, elegant hotel on traditional bones, great location in a quaint old town.
Situation : The castle on the top of the hill, hiking, and German cakes ;o)
Lovely, clean, modernized hotel with great facilities and location right on the old Market Square. Not all of the staff are used to working with English-only speakers, but they manage well enough.

Charming hotel in heart of the old townPublié le 22 sept. 2014
Les + : Location, view and general charm of the hotel, plus the Jacuzzi.
Situation : Good location for steam trains in the Harz Mountains, especially the Bocken. Wernegerode is a delightful, half-timbered town to wander around.
Lovely hotel in the heart of the charming town of Wernegerode in the Harz Mountains, next to the town hall. Excellent big room with great view of gargoyles.

Charme Gothisches in Wernigrode Hartz MountainsPublié le 4 sept. 2014
Les + : Central location, walking distance from railway, large quiet room, excellent breakfasts, good service.
Les - : The room should have drink making facilities.
Situation : A journey up the Brocken mountain by steam train. A bus or short train journey to Quedlinburg heritage city. A tour of Wernigrode castle. Local pubs.
Top hotel with central location in main square. Very quiet at night as church bells stop between 11pm and 7am.Lots of nearby restaurants and 'british style' quirky pubs serving great wine and local beer. Only 15 mins walk from main train station and very handy for excursions into the Hartz on the fabulous steam railway network. Apart from the hotel, it's worth noting that there is very little English spoken in the area and not many restaurants have English translations for their menus.

Great Hotel in an Historic Town.Publié le 12 août 2014
Les + : It was quiet, well maintained and well run.
Les - : Air conditioning in all public areas would be nice.
Situation : It could not be better positioned, right in the heart of the old town. We went up to the castle and a charabanc tour of the eastern Harz region.
We arrived at the hotel in the middle of the afternoon after a long and tiring journey from the UK. We were immediately offered a drink and then guided to our room which was clean and of a good size. The breakfasts gave a wide choice of food and drink, sufficient for all tastes and appetites. One slight criticism was that the hotel was rather warm but there was no air conditioning.

Great Hotel, Great Location, Bad in-room Wi-FiPublié le 14 juil. 2014 sur Hotels.com
Let me first say that I wouold have given this hotel 5 stars if the in-room Wi-Fi was better. I was in the area for business and reliable internet was a necessity. When I first checked into my room I couldn't even recieve a Wi-Fi signal on my laptop, tablet, or phone. I went to the front desk, told them the situation and they switched me to another room. I had to the same issue in that room, so I reluctantly went back to the front desk (I didn't want to be that eternally unsatisifed customer) told them about the situation again and they switched me to another room. Same issue occured...no Wi-Fi signal. At that point I gave up. I ended up having to sit out on the stairs in the hallway to get a decent Wi-Fi signal. For 24euros I expected reliable internet. The hotel is clean and beautiful with amazing service, a great restaurant with an amazing breakfast that was included in the price, and is right in the middle of the downtown pedestrian zone. When you walk out of the hotel entrance and look up the hill you see a beautiful castle. You couldn't ask for a better location. There is parking located next to the hotel for about 12euro per day if you let the hotel staff know that you are parking a car, if not, it is 14euro per day. I would definitely stay at this hotel again even with the poor Wi-Fi service.

Lovely hotel, superbly renovated and with excellent facilities. Warm, friendly staff and a breakfast that needs an hour to do it justice.Superbly situated on the market square, and with the Christmas Market right outside, we couldn't have wished for more.

First class hotel in nice settings :-)Publié le 21 août 2013 sur Hotels.com
Beautiful old hotel with up-to-date interior. Well situated out to the square - in the city centre. Very clean everywhere in the hotel. Good hotel service. Super location. Parking too expensive, I think. We paid 12.- euros for 'one night' just for parking in the garage. You also have to pay for wi-fy. Should be free! Restaurant very good. Reception gave us good service. Wernigerode is indead a visit worth. Lots of small shops in this small and cozy city.

Recommended hotelPublié le 8 août 2013
Les + : This Travel Charme operated hotel is certainly full of charm. Very attractive building and town centre location in the main square.
Situation : In town centre, ten minute walk from station.
Excellent hotel, full of character, with good service. Wernigerode is largely a day trip resort, so in the evenings it is quiet. We would certainly stay here again.
