Great Beds--comfortable but not fancy

Publié le 10 nov. 2014
Les + : Comfortable beds, refrigerator and microwave. Nice sitting chair and a nice desk to work at.
Les - : Include hot eggs with the breakfast.
Situation : There was a Taco Bell and a burger place nearby. Just a few blocks there was a Cracker Barrel. It was located right off I40--easy off and easy on.
Check in and check out went smoothly and the clerks were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the beds were on the soft side and very comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate. Had no problems with the tub or the space. The room had a small refrigerator, coffee pot, and microwave. This was very convenient for us. We had a non-smoking room and the clerk went out of his way to give us a room far away from the 2nd floor smoking section. The eggs at breakfast were boiled. I would have preferred hot scrambled eggs.We didn't care for the sausage gravy but the waffles were great. For the price, it was a good choice for my husband. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Disappointing

Publié le 28 oct. 2014
Les + : I liked the hotel was by the highway so that I was able to leave the first chance I got to go.
Les - : You could improve people stay by not put a non smoking room on a non smoking floor. My room smelled like cigars and I wanted to be in a fresh room.
Situation : I liked the hotel was by the highway so that I was able to leave the first chance I got to go.
My room was on the second floor and I asked for non smoking room and the first thing I noticed was the room smelled like a cigar bar. I talked with Will and he told me the second floor was a smoking floor. Which made me wonder if I requested a non smoking room why would you put me on a smoking floor. The room was just not what I experienced in other citites. I will never stay in the LaQuinta in Jackson, Tennessee unless it is in better condition. Will was the best employee that I came in contact with during my stay. The other staff that was there seem like they are there for a paycheck because they were not upbeat or willing to help like Will was during my stay. Overall I was thankful I could sleep in a bed but I had to leave the windows open and spray every thirty minutes in order to make my room smell fresh. They did not clean my room unless I requested for it to be clean. I thought they would clean the room every morning but I was wrong again. Please do not put a non smoking person like myself on a smoking floor or a room that previous guest smoked in.

Good place to stay

Publié le 24 août 2014 sur Hotels.com
I stayed one night here and it was a relatively good stay. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The breakfast was good for a La Quinta continental. The only complaint I have is the cleanliness of the room. I had to stay in a pet friendly room, so I expected it to be a little worse than a regular room. However, although the floor was expected to have some stains, my sheets and towel were not. It kinda grossed me out, but I avoided to touch the gross areas. Too tired to care that much, I guess. The plumbing probably needs an update. Otherwise, it's a good stay for the price.

A pleasant stop over

The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served early so I could eat leisurely and be on my way. No scrambled eggs or bananas but otherwise very good.

Jackson La Quinta

Publié le 6 août 2014 sur Hotels.com
The receptionist, Porceanna was exceptionally helpful when we arrived. The hotel grounds were perfect for our 40lb dog, and the room was clean, although the bathroom had a bit of mold growing on the ceiling. The cold drink machines did not work, but the room was clean and in good shape. Overall the hotel has excellent grounds and ideal for a traveling dog, the pool area was clean and nice, but the hotel has seen better days and could use a thorough renovation.

Older hotel, rather dirty, semi-scary clientele

Publié le 30 juin 2014 sur Hotels.com
This was our first time traveling with a puppy and LaQuinta's are highly recommended for their pet policies. This LaQuinta is not typical - it was very run down, the other patrons were a little bit scary, and our room was not very clean - hairs in the bathroom, stains on the carpet that seemed to dry when we were there, and a good layer of dust all over the furniture. The front desk people were very, very nice. I felt for the lady working that morning because I think she was in charge of the breakfast and checking people out.
