Great landscaping, Terrible indoors
The outside of this property is amazing but the inside is filthy and cluttered and extremely uncomfortable. I would only recommend this venue for outdoor events. Every single thing inside was gross and it should not be on VRBO. The dishes had dried food on them, there were not enough cleaning supplies so I had to go buy soaps, scrub-bushes and towels. The beds were old and uncomfortable. The door was filthy. The internet did not work which was a huge problem for my husband who needed to work. We couldn’t get the AC to work. The owner went into the house when he thought we were out (my kids were there but we were out)… I’m not sure why he was entering without knocking or contacting us.. when he saw the kids he left. The area was nice but the people in the town were pretty unfriendly with the exception of restaurant owners and coffee shop owners. Sad.

Beautiful location
Lovely rustic house with a stunning pool area. We stayed a week with some friends and family, very family friendly place. We loved it there! Recommend ordering a dinner made at the house, we had a lovely 3 course dinner with the most amazing tiramisu as dessert. Highly recommended!

Poor accommodation not suitable for renting
Not suitable for renting . House had too much furniture and ornaments and dried flowers . Rooms were cluttered and limited space , no space to prepare food . Only really 2 double bedrooms other rooms had extra beds or a day bed not really suitable for teenage children to share with their parents . Pool not connected to the house . No shade . Garden had a large marquee which looked like it was used for weddings. The outside seating area was in the car parking space .

Tuscan Family Experience
The villa is situated in a beautiful setting with flowers in bloom, gorgeous plants and vines, and a walnut grove. The pool provided a wonderful family experience when we weren't traveling. Fabrizio and Sueli are wonderful people and Sueli has a menu that you can order from that provides you with a wonderful Tuscan culinary experience. The surrounding area has spectacular vistas all within a short distance. We rented a car and visited a new village or city every day We enjoyed Foiano della Chiana; it's people, views, shopping, and it's food.

Buiten schitterd, binnen wat gedateerd
Een prachtig huis met enorme tuin en mooi zwembad. Heerlijke locatie, in de buurt van leuke plaatsjes om te bezoeken. Huis is binnen gedateerd en niet heel schoon. Vijf badkamers is in werkelijkheid 2 in huis en een apart toilet en 2 buiten het huis. Van de 4 slaapkamers zijn er 2 op de zolderverdieping. Het dak is daar aflopend en je kunt er niet echt goed rechtop staan, wat voor volwassenen vervelend is. Eén kamer is echt laag en moet je bukken om hoofd niet te stoten. Hadden dat graag vooraf geweten. Wel overal airco al moet je de afstandbediening apart aan de eigenaar vragen bij aankomst. Kortom, geweldig zwembad en tuin, mooi huis, maar binnen gedateerd en niet goed schoongemaakt.

Bellissima villa con piscina
Siamo stati 10 giorni in questa bellissima villa in stile toscano. La piscina e il giardino sono grandi e abbiamo trascorso ore piacevoli e rilassanti anche sotto il pergolato e nell’idromassaggio. La casa e’ spaziosa, elegante e in stile, la cucina attrezzatissima , non ci e mancato niente. Abbiamo anche fatto due bbq di favolosa carne Toscana in guardino. La zona e’ centrale e molto comoda per visitare la magnifica regione Toscana. Ci torneremmo senz’altro.

The perfect location for both relaxation and exploring Tuscany
My family rented Villa Portoverde (2 adults/3 children) and it was perfect. We could have easily added another family to join us as there is lots of space. The Villa and grounds were excellently maintained and we took full advantage (Foosball, Bocci, and the pool!). We did our own cooking, but wish we took advantage of Fabrizio's wife who is a certified Chef - at least for 1 evening. It was very easy to walk to the village, Foiana della Chiana - where we explored the local market, buying fresh breads, fruits & vegetables. With the central location it was very easy to explore other great Tuscan locations (San Gimignano, Montepulciano, and Montalcino). There was so much more within reach, but we decided on a balanced vacation. It was perfect. Like having a resort to yourself. Fabrizio is a great host. He explained things well and was easily available if needed. Thank you Fabrizio
