Upon arrival the front desk attendant was very unfriendly and gave limited information. The breakfast was not good, and very inconvenient location to walk outside in pouring rain to access the dining area, but it was more than just continental. The eggs were cold, sausage cold. The vending machine in the downstairs floor was out of 3 drink selections including bottle water. It was pouring rain and there were no rugs walking into the room straight to slippery flooring. I was charged a $20 linen fee for "allegedly" a stained towel that I have no idea what could have stained a white towel that should be bleached. When I called to speak to a manager and ask for pictures to be sent he refused and said its their discretion if I recieve my full deposit back or not. I stayed with my two daughters, we use make up whipes, we didn’t do anything to stain a towel, no hair dye etc. I'm literally the cleanest person to stay in a hotel. I put all the trash in trash cans, all towels piled on the side, even make the bed. I've never been charged a linen fee in my life. I used my points and recieved a discount price and I honestly believe they got the rest of their money from me after I complained in person about the previous mentioned things. I will not visit this hotel again when I'm back in the area.

Serviceable and comfortable.
Jade was very helpful. In the breakfast area there weren’t any trays. I tried to take my husband his breakfast to our room, which was in another building. I dropped everything on the sidewalk. A tray would have avoided this. The hotel didn’t quite live up to the brand. It gave the impression of being cheap. The mini muffins were cut in half, no half and half or cream for the coffee. That sort of thing. The hotel was serviceable and overall comfortable.

The first room we checked into had black mold in the fridge. We asked if we could move to a downstairs room and the staff was accommodating. The second room was clean but did have a few issues - a leaking fridge, a bath tub that doesn’t hold water and continually drains. Due to booking on Expedia, staff was unable to extend my stay on their computer. I had to rebook myself and they required I pay the $100 deposit twice. That could be improved. We really appreciated the staff members we interacted with, all friendly and helpful excluding the manager. We appreciated the continental breakfast and the hotels close proximity to gas, restaurants, and a grocery store.

The rooms were on 2 wings separate from the building and accessiblefrom the outside via stairs, no elevator. Pictures were misleading. We checked in and went to our room, and somebody was in it. The tv was on, bed a mess and trash on the counter. We left immediately and checked out. Never again.

I was assigned a room on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator and no 1st floor rooms were available. The hallway carpets are very stained. The towels are thin. I expected brtter from a Ramada inn.

I have been staying at this hotel since it first opened. I like the location and quietness of it. Also it is close to many family members and friends. This time was at the nearby family farm on Foster, in Arcata, for a Memorial to a family member, a great family gathering. Also spent another whole day with my 83 year old cousin who couldn’t attend due to a recently broken leg. I live in the Bay Area and don’t get to visit my Humboldt family very often. Always thankful to be able to stay at this Ramada.

Hard to get to other wing where our family members were staying, but otherwise very nice. Loved the back patio, but wish there had been a pool there. Breakfast good; coffee great!

Unfortunately room smelled like urine. Housekeeping didn’t really clean just took our towels. We were missing an iwatch when we returned for the day and staff couldn’t do anything for us. Find my watch said was still at hotel but unable to locate because I someone turned it off. Bathroom light was a heater so it is super hot in the bathroom. Would not recommend.

Family Trip
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a family of 4, myself, my husband, my 2 year old, and 3 year old. The staff was kind and got us anything extra we needed without complaint (pillows, towels, etc). The staff was very friendly and the hotel was in a great location close to some of our favorite beaches and restaurants. We would stay here again.

The employee working at reception lacked customer service skills. When we arrived around 5 pm, she told us our room wasn't ready and we should wait - no further information. There was someone else already in the lobby waiting for a room. While we were sitting there, another employee came in complaining loudly about how there was no one to clean the rooms and he'd be working all night. A customer also came in because his TV in his room wasn't working. The front desk employee told him that she didn't know anything about TV's and suggested he check all the plugs (no offer of help.) He gave up and walked out. We waited and ended up getting into our room about 30-45 minutes later. Not terrible as far as a wait goes. When we got into our room, there were three hand towels and washcloths, but only one bath towel. We had 4 people. We requested three more bath towels from the front desk and they never came. My husband finally went down around 8 and asked at the front desk if he could just pick up the towels. The same employee said she only had 2 towels. He told her he would take what she had. The pillows in the room were small, almost square shaped, and there were exactly 4 of them (at least one for each of us.) There were no extra pillows or blankets and we honestly didn't want to try to find anymore downstairs at the front desk, so we just worked with what we had. We weren't impressed. Luckily, we were only there for one night. We won't be staying there again.
