New hotel chain

Les + : The front desk staff
Les - : I couldn't write that much.
Situation : The Mall & food places were very close by (inclusive of park that was located right behind the hotel facility).
The hotel chain is not as exemplary as the hotel chain that had it before. My husband & I were a tad bit disappointed in how things have changed (inclusive of the continental breakfast).

Upon arrival I noticed there were not many cars in the motel parking lot. I said to myself that's good it should be a quiet night here. I went to check-in at the desk and the clerk took longer than usual to find my reservation also he left the front desk several times to check the room. The furniture, and carpet inside the room were both worn outdated. It also had a weird odor to the room. The room was near the first floor exit, from the room window you see and hear people coming, going, also talking very loudly while standing outside smoking. The room was also near the housekeeping room and we were awakened by loud noises from that room early in the morning. The continental breakfast was sufficient. Needless to say I won't stay there anymore.

Cleanliness of the room was poor

The first problem we noticed about the room was that the bathroom was poorly cleaned and stocked. There was a small packet of shampoo but no bath soap bar. Furthermore the toilet was filthy. There was excrement residue on the toilet on the back of the seat! It was disgusting. As for the breakfast room, there was a major spill that a guest had caused that no one on the staff cleaned up. The floor was sticky for the rest of the morning. It just appeared that the hotel was understaffed.

Les + : The room and the staff were great!
Situation : Close to everything.
I have never stayed at a Red Roof Hotel before and was impressed by the condition and size of the room. I was apprehensive about staying at this hotel, but no more. Would definitely stay again.

Situation : Gambling & sight see.
Asia was a awesome employee. A dedicated individual. She was there over 18 hr and still managed to provide excellent service with a smile. The only bad thing is that the hotel staff needs better coverage..

Les + : very clean,nice staff
Les - : may be a swimming pool and softer pillows
Situation : very convenient near nice rest, and major highways
excellent services,WILL GO AGAIN VERY CLEAN ,NICE STAFF,I WILL RECOMMEND IT TO ANY ONE.

Les + : Personnel was friendly and free coffee available all day.
Les - : Needs to be updated all the way around with more modern look as cooperate properties are.
Situation : Nothing.
Upon first arrival lobby was under LOUD renovation. Room were not updated And did not have the updated channel list with the early rental option for movies Still in theaters. First room had broken tub. Personnel was pleasant, however.

Les + : staff were freiendly and did try to accomodate your needs.
Les - : I had reservations, you could at least prepared the room a lot better.
lights were blown in several lamps and the switches were not working right. the towel rack that held them kept falling out of the wall , fridge was not cleaned out from prior guests, had to ask for amenities, room smelled stale. the continental breakfast terrible.

Les - : Get HD TV service with the weather ,CNN and most common channels. Replace all the carpets. make the parking area for cars bigger and more light night.
The hotel was near almost everything but it was lacking in some areas.

Les + : convenience to event we attended at the woodlands.
Les - : put a safe in the room and spruce up in general. a pool would be nice.
very average hotel but worth the price. shower head didn't function properly. a/c unit was average.
