Situation : 2 blocks away from the BTC train station (just short 4 stop ride to MBK Mall/National Stadium), 4 blocks from Nano Plaza & 1 block from a great diner!
The price value is incredible. The rooms are very clean and spacious! My room had a king sized bed with an extremely comfortable and soft bed that felt like you were sleeping on a cloud! The room included a bathtub and separate shower, along with two couches and a coffee table as well as a decent sized fully functional kitchenette. If you want to be in the hub of Bangkok (this is on Soi 11 near Nano Plaza) and you want to sleep in amazing comfort while getting and incredible deal on the rate of your hotel, this is the place to stay. I did have breakfast at the hotel one morning and it was really good. There's also an amazing American-styled-diner within walking distance that makes FABULOUS burgers!!! I recommend the Angel Burger.

i stayed here for one week, no complementary break fast for all rooms. compare with other hotels it is bit costly.

Les + : Friendly helpful staffnothing needs to be done
Les - : noting needs to be done, maybe some room a/c service as fan starting to get noisey
Situation : close to pubs to watch sport, Nana station 15 minute walk or take hotel tuk tuk
have stayed this hotel before like it that is why I came back again

I Ha've stayed here earlier too and always enjoy it. Service is great, though there is usually a short wait at check in, and the location on Soi 11 is always a plus. And it's a short 5-10 minute walk to the BTS Nana station. Bit pricey, but considering what you get not bad, and you can save a bit by booking direct from the hotel. Breakfast buffet is also very good. Indian food is available with in 5-10 minutes walk. Robinson and terminal 21 malls are very near. the hotel provides shuttle ( tuk tuk) drop facility till nana BTS station..though on return you have to come by Walking. Overall very satisfied !!

I've been coming to the President Solitaire for I believe over 12 years or so. I keep coming back because not only is it kept fantastic but I very comfortable. The same staff great me every time. Honestly I like that feeling. You can call it family, warm or just great. To me it's a lot better when the people know you.

Not a 4.5 Star Hotel

This hotel is definitely not a 4.5 star hotel. It may have the amenities listed, but they are mainly poor quality. There was no welcome to the hotel, even when checking in there was no introduction to the city or the hotel (e.g. map of city, breakfast times, pool location, shuttle times, etc. etc. etc.). The gym equipment is very old (1990's or older) and most of it does not work properly (the bikes and the arc trainer had no proper traction). The TV worked, but was not tuned properly. I phoned one of the technicians, I showed them the problem, and they showed me how to tune a few individual channels. This is the kind of service you expect in a motor inn, not a 4.5 star hotel, this should just be working. Like some of the other reviews, the hot water in my room did not work (this seems to be a very common problem at this hotel). I had to call reception a number of times and a number of technicians were sent and each time I was told it would only take a few minutes. Finally they admitted it would take a few hours, after they had already wasted a lot of my time. I requested the highest floor possible, and they placed me on the 1st floor. The concierge was great and the rooms were big. However there are many other hotels with better locations and charge less money for the same value. Avoid this hotel, it is not worth it
