5 star hotel lacking 5 star service

Les + : We definitely liked location and the fact that hotel is actually at the beach. Sand is amazing, sea is shallow, so it is ideal for family with kids.
Les - : Service definitely needs to be improved to reach 5* hotel standards.
Situation : Location is great, there are lots of restaurants nearby, 2 kids playgrounds, historical centre and a square with evening entertainment.
First, I would like to thank Julia and another gentleman who asked us about our experience and after that things did start to improve. Our experience is as follows: - First row benches at the beach are sold out to people who are not hotel guests. - Hotel guests are assigned certain benches, but nobody tells you this until an angry beach manager arrives and asks you to move to where you belong. - Beach manager is hard to find, so you have to chase a life guard to get towels, who shows how unhappy he is to do this job - Beach staff are very happy about themselves, chatty to kids club nannies and seem to be annoyed by guests - We haven't seen anyone from a bar at the beach for 6 days. Only at our last day we have received a menu and found out that actually it is possible to get drinks and food at the beach. - A'la cart restaurant serves the same menu for lunch and dinner every day. - I fell sick after trying seafood at hotel restaurant - They serve vegetables in big plates for lunch and one day the corn was rotten, i.e. nobody actually put new corn to the plate every day, they just served what has been left from the previous ones - Only at the last day of our week stay floors in our room were actually cleaned and ashtray on the balcony emptied. - You can hear your neighbours and lower floor doors being shut. - The hotel has been recently renovated, but lack of proper cleaning and looking after leaves all the tubs and bathroom accessories in a rather poor state - etc.

Bester Strand an der Bucht von Allassio

Les + : Die Nähe und die Qualität des hoteleigenen Strandes
Les - : Ja ..sehr viel ... siehe oben Expedia benennt die Park-kosten mit € 25,00 , verrechnet werden € 30,00.
Situation : Am schönsten Strand von Alassio .Das Hinterland ist traumhaft, die Küste ist interessant , Genua liegt nicht so weit entfernt.
Der Service ist absolut zu bemängeln . Das was zur vollsten Zufriedenheit funktioniert ist der Service von den Zimmermädchen . Ansonsten meidet man eher den Kontakt zu den Gästen , frei nach dem Motto : Nicht hinsehen , sonst wartet Arbeit auf mich. Dies betrifft den Service in der Bar , am Strand , beim Frühstück ....

Das Hotel liegt in der besten Lage, die man für einen Strandurlaub braucht. Kurze Wege zum Meer (direkter Zugang) und zu den besten Lokalen der Stadt. Ein Strandhotel, ideal dann, wenn sie einen Strandurlaub machen wollen. Selbst die günstigen Zimmer, ohne Meerblick zur Straße sind sehr, sehr ruhig. Bei einem Strandurlaub ist man ohnehin nur zum Übernachten im Zimmer und da reicht auch diese Größe vollkommen aus. Ein junges Serviceteam, das auch noch einige Dinge zu lernen hat. Sehr bemüht. Man bekommt alles, man muss halt fragen. Wir werden nächstes Jahr wieder hinfahren.

Best hotel in Alassio

Highly recommend Grand Hotel. Service and location outstanding. Could find no faults except that our room (mountain view room 316) was lacking a table/luggage stand. Not very practical with the suitcase on the floor. There was however plenty of storage space to unpack. Bed seems like a queen rather than King and was a bit hard as were the pillows. Very good breakfast and our meal on Saturday was excellent. Most of our group choose the grill seafood which they grill right outside on the terrace. Can't wait to go back!

Mai er en fin måned å besøke den sjarmerende byen Alassio. Temperaturen er behagelig og de flotte strendene og de gode retaurantene er akkurat passe besøkt. Grand Hotel Alassio er perfekt på alle måter. Beliggenhet, standard og service er topp. Vi hadde et rom ut mot sjøen med tilhørende stor terasse. Perfekt!

We could not have been happier with our stay. The location of the hotel (literally on the beach) was ideal. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurent (on the beach) served beautiful food. Our room was clean and large. I would return in a heartbeat.

Les + : La gentilezza del personale in particolare di Valentina alla reception e la posizione straordinaria sul mare a 180 gradi
Les - : Tutto perfetto
Situation : A 2 metri sul mare.Alassio inoltre è molto bella e accogliente
Tre giorni a capodanno in un hotel davvero splendido in posizione con vista mozzafiato sul mare. Piscina con talassoterapia fantastica.
