« Good hotel and good stay.
The room was comfortable and cosy, and the dinner at the pub very authentic.
Unfortunately, smiles and welcome and goodbye words were unavailable.

« It’s an old property with lots of character uneven floors and lots of steps it’s lovely and clean although rooms are a bit dated and some quite small has some outside rooms with private entrances
We had a shower over a bath which may be difficult for some one elderly to use so I’d specify if you have any specific needs
The food was good basic pub grub and breakfast was excellent
Parking is easy and free for residents just make sure you register your number plate when you arrive

« Excellent stay at the Chequers Inn again for a week for the New Year. Beautiful room, good food, clean, lovely staff - shout out to Angela who went above & beyond for us!
Lovely compassionate email sent to us following the very sad death of my Dad whilst we were away.
Only downside - the bar closed at 10:30pm on New Years Eve!
We will definitely return. »
