Wrexham : Cabanes

« WARNING! DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE ASTHMATIC! We booked Cabin 25 (Lark) to celebrate our anniversary, but the stay was completely ruined by the appalling condition of the accommodation and the complete lack of action when I reported it. On our first evening I discovered extensive visible black mould around the shower, on the shower curtain and bathroom ceiling. I then inspected the rest of the cabin and found mould on the studio curtains and sofa bed, together with a significant build-up of dirt...

« The cabin was warm and comfortable It was well equiped. The road getting to it was narrow but manageable with care. The road surface was good. The view from the front was amazing. We enjoyed our stay very much. »

« No check in information received, when I contacted the host was told ‘it’s not hard it’s left unlocked’ during our stay the host walked past us several times to feed the llamas head down, didn’t even say hello, text to ask how to use the gas fire during our stay and no response, was made to feel very unwelcome. Shame as the shepherds hurt is nice »

« Very very private, pod was very clean and warm with everyting we needed. Biggest problem was the ourside and parking area. Very muddy....some gravel is needed at entrance and inside the gated area/parking. Thats my only moan. Other than that it was perfect. »

« I really wanted to love this place but we won't be returning. Whilst you're told you cross a farm to get to the lodge, you're actually situated on the farm. There is sheep that are right next to the Lodge, the kids loved seeing them but with that brought LOADS of flies... and i mean LOADS. Altho the host does have a Bug lamp in the livingroom, there is not a chance you're getting away from them, you can't leave any food or drinks out. You can't have the windows or doors open as more come in,...
